sleep time affect weight?
I'm on a cut right now and as just wondering if sleep time affects your weight? Because I wake up at about 5:30am. and weigh my self and havn't been losing any, but when i wake up on the weekends, when i sleep in, i'm usually lighter and lose weight. I weigh my self right when i get up, after the bathroom, and naked. Plus I go to bed at about 11ish, and sometimes i eat late at like 10ish to hit my macro goals, and drink water and no calorie drinks too at night. So just wondering if your sleep time will do that.

Doesn't make sense to me that sleep would affect it. Pretty well everything else will though; changes in carbs, sodium, water, exercise (glycogen stores), not having had a dump for awhile, etc.
Don't obsess over daily weigh-ins, it'll make you nutty.

i usually notice i weigh less when i sleep in, sometimes i'll sleep for up to 12 or 14 hours, and when i wake up I'm at an extremely low weight. That's all just because of water weight though, usually the longer you fast the lighter you become, so a "14 hour" fast will leave you feeling pretty light. Idk if that's just my broscience mind but its the only explanation i have for it.

Sometimes I'll oversleep and end up in bed for 10+ hours due to exhaustion. I don't eat in my sleep, so I guess sleeping longer can keep me from gaining weight.

When you sleep you are breathing. Breathing expends your body's water by keeping your throat / nasal passages moist. You also make snot, urine, sometimes sweat, etc. You aren't drinking while sleeping so that water is not replaced as it would be during the day.
The weight difference is water. Unless you wake up and drink something 2-4 times a night, you're going to wake up dehydrated. If you sleep more you lose more.

i dont think the hour that u wake up effects your weight, but getting in enough hours or being sleep deprived does effect weight loss.

If I go without proper rest my body bugg shows my hourly burn sitting still goes from 89 calories an hour to 76 calories an hour 14.6% drop but i have to be pretty exhausted from days without good sleep.
