For those of you who don't know what Anzac day is probably Australia's most important national occasion. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.
Normally i don't give it too much thought... but today i saw something that really struck a cord with me, and it really hit home about it all.
This was the story. Take time to watch it.
The story itself was not what touched me, but the patriotism this guy has for those people who died. Personally my great grandfather was a soldier, he made it through WW1 and WW2 alive and died shortly after from cancer, even though i didn't know him and to be honest i can't say i loved him because of that i have more respect for him than words can ever explain.
So this is me misc, giving my love and admiration, i know it isn't much but never have i felt more proud to be from the same country as these brahs.
Anzac day is tommorow.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

In for dawn service
Lest we forget
Edit - for any brahs that have never been to a dawn service I urge you to go tomorrow morning.
Not many WWII vets left and there is not too many feelings that top standing there during The Last Post and the goosebumps you get thinking about our grandpas who had no choice but to fight for our country.
SRS
go tomorrow morning to the dawn service brahs

It's good to see so many people interested in supporting the ANZAC memorial. For anyone who has the time keep an eye out for non fiction books which tell the stories of those who served in ww1 and ww2. I'm amazed at how tough and well respected they were by the other allied forces.

ANZAC's were the true bloody heroes, he puts it well...doctors, farmers, butchers, lawyers all laid down their jobs to fight for their country. If you read the poems of Wilfred Owen, you would understand that war back in 1915 was 100000000x worse than war fought today (srs)
brb you have to sleep next to the rotting stench of your dead brothers in arms
brb ....just read the poems u kunce - it's horrific stuff
