Anyone go indoor/outdoor rock climbing ?

I went indoor rock climbing the other day, mostly just bouldering. I must say though, it was pretty sweet. Might just be a new hobby to pick up. I know after several months it would probably give me insane grip and arm strength

I used to go all the time when I was in high school, we had a rock wall to use at my school. They had a traverse wall, peg wall and a normal like ten lane climbing wall. I do miss that for sure, not really any places around here to go natural rock climbing though.

Quarry Park, Taylors Falls, Barn Bluff, and Robinson Park are all decent places to climb out here. Quarry is short though, but it's better than pulling plastic all the time.

Bouldering is fun for the thin guys. Long leg fatties like me want to keep to stemming though .

    Cool Rock Climbing is Addictive!

Rock climbing be it indoors or outdoors, is a good way to boost muscular and cardiovascular endurance as they say. It's all a lot of fun! My first climb was way back in high school during gym class, and oh boy -- was I scared of heights! But I wanted that A+ so bad to I gave it my all to reach the top. After that first climb, the rest was history. Gosh, I've been so busy with work that I think the last time I've climbed was 6 months ago? Yeah, it was at The Garden of the Gods here in Colorado. I love the thrill that came with the North Gateway Summit Climb!

Man, I used to go three or four times a week, until I moved out to the Middle East. Now I have to travel pretty far to find a place to go. I miss it.

I got a 40ft gym 2 minutes from me, Stony Point 15 minutes and Joshua Tree 2 hours.

    I love my life.

FYI Stony Point is where the old schoolers trained for Yosemite.

Yea I'm jealous. Hoping to move to somewhere more climber friendly in the future, Colorado or somewhere west. Half dome will be achieved at some point!

If I'm not mistaken CO has the most peaks over 14k in the nation.

I'm thinking about moving out that way myself.
