That was it for today. My chest is super pumped and triceps are too. upper chest is really pumped. I di the flat presses with the medium grip which is about shoulder width or maybe just beyond and that is as wide as I can go with it right now. The inclines were all with a wide grip and for some reason it doesn't hurt on the inclines to go wide. It actually feels better with the wider grip on those. I took a free sample from bb.com of C4 extreme pre-workout suppliment and my hair is itching and I feel kinda blushed in my face. Think I will stick with a good cup of strong coffee
Todays food The wife and I went out earlier for our 20th anniversary dinner and I tried to eat as healthy as possible, but today's diet was off a bit. Hope to get back on track tomorrow.
Your bench is getting stronger and that was plenty of volume, so the shoulder must be improving
Big session Eric, and you're entitled to let yourself go a little on your anniversary!
Great work on the 20th....we get to that milestone next year

Andrew the shoulder is feeling really good lately, it seems like the benching is actually helping it. Hopefully as long as I can keep the form strict on the OHP's and bench it will fully recover soon enough. Congrats to you on 19 years. I would be lost at this point without my wife, she really takes good care of me.

    Happy Anniversary!!! :-)

We celebrated our 20th last Jan.

Lots of volume and it sounds like you are in tune to what works best for your shoulder. Ticking a few more boxes I see!

That stuff you are drinking, I'd be throwing it out if it affected me like that.

Thamk you Louise and congrats to you on 20 years. I suppose by now you have him trained well . That preworkout stuff always makes me feel weird, don't know why I even tried it. I guess because it was free.

Today was Deadlift day and here it is.

    225x8
    275x8
    315x6
345x6 (added belt and straps on this set)
    365x6

    365x6

That was it for today's deadlifts. I think I will try to stay with the lighter weights and higher reps for a few weeks before giving the 435 a go again and see if that helps. I may do some light squatting later, not sure though. Today's foods

I actually thought about trying a set to failure at 350, but after the 345 set of 6 I felt that I wouldn't have gotten more than 8 or so reps. I am going to try staying at a lower weight and keeping the reps to at least 6 per set for the next few weeks and then I am going to own that 435 like a prison bitch!

I'm not surprised --- 365 is a heavy lift for a single, so 3 sets of 6 is beasting it and those DOMS are well deserved!

Great job on those weighted pull-ups! The form looked excellent on the vid --- full range and nice tempo
That was a great session Eric, especially considering that you killed it with all those deads yesterday!

I'm really impressed at your strength increases. It's in both weight and volume. It's exciting watching you progress so well.

    Good job Eric!'

You need to buy yourself I nice big mirror, the bigger the better( a few even). They probably cost a heck of a lot though! That in itself can be very motivating, watching the muscles at work, watching your form...makes it all the more interesting and a great way to check out your progress.

LOL, dynamite man. Kill it. Grats on the anniversary! Only at 10 myself.

Note, on the beta-alanine, it takes a month to work. I took it for a long time using infinite labs CarnoCre. Tasted ok and didn't fuss with my stomach. I think it definitely helps the 10+ rep range, but not so much for less than 10 (<10 is really creatine's domain). I think it works by shuttling waste out of the cell faster or something... (don't diss my science brah!) Keep pushing!

Thanks Andrew. It's amazing how much 10 pounds can feel like on the pull-ups. And I am still sore today.

Nice heavy squatting Eric, and all at around 170 now........you're doing really well at maintaining/increasing your strength while cutting

And fresh venison --- do you hunt, hang and butcher your own deer or do you hunt and get someone else to prepare it? I assume you don't just buy it in the supermarket like I do

You must be noticing a big difference in your everyday activities with all this extra weight rep scheme you are doing. Your strength and stamina would be allowing you to do these tasks faster and for longer.

Thanks Louise. My wife says I spend too much time looking at myself in the mirror already

    hehe I can't imagine that..

Impressed with the work you are doing.
