Okey-dokey, time to get this show on the road! Nikonguy and I have been selected to run a log for Pro-Mera on the effects of Gluta-tren. I'm excited about running this log and trying out Gluta-tren along with Con-Cret. This will be the first time I've tried any Pro-Mera supplements, and the only other supplement I use is protein powder. I am soooo ready!
A little background information on me:
I am 40 years old (41 in a couple of weeks), a mother of 4 amazing kids (12, 13, 16, and 17), I work full time, am sometimes in school (although not at the moment), and am a powerlifter. My schedule is full and busy, but I make time to train 5 or 6 days a week. I also have two cats, one is a beautiful dark grey and white I adopted at the age of 2, who is afraid of her own shadow...the other a one-eyed kitty I adopted at the age of 8 weeks, who is an orange and white tabby and afraid of nothing. My fraidy-cat's name is Missus Slinky Fuzzlebum, and my take-on-the-world cat is aptly named Orbit (for his one eye and the fact that he orbits me continuously).
My training schedule as of right now is as follows:
Monday: Off Day
Tuesday: Back (rotate deadlifting) group session w/pl'ers
Wednesday: Tri's/Bi's (rotate bench) group session w/pl'ers
Thursday: Shoulders group session w/pl'ers
Friday: Off Day
Saturday: Squats/Quads/Hams group session w/pl'ers
Sunday: Chest group session w/pl'ers
I have a powerlifting meet on May 5th (NASA) and have been training for it. My black and red singlet is on its way.
I've recently added in 3 days of treadmill (which I absolutely hate ), and swimming laps (which I don't) to drop 5lbs. I would like to be in a safe zone before my meet, so I can carb up beforehand and know I will still come in at weight. My macros are holding steady and are as follows:
Total Cals: 2100
Protein: 206.4g
Carb: 209g
Fat: 52g
Received my package 2 days ago, and my shipping statement this morning (which made me *lol*). I am ready to do this! Today is an off day from the gym, but tomorrow is a heavy day and I'll try these two products for the first time before a training session at that time.
Nikonguy will be in later to post his training session and some background info I'm sure...until then: Let's get this party started!

Just gonna throw in yesterday's session to get things rolling:
Thursday: Shoulders
OHP pre-load EZ bar, new to these still, so working on form, weight will come in time
20@20
20@20
15@30
15@30
14@30
13@30
Lateral Raises elbow tendonitis always makes delt work iffy, tonight it wasn't too bad
15@10 all sets per side
15@10
15@10
15@10 couldn't go heavier with left arm because of elbow, and it pisses me off
Rear Delt Raises
15@10 all sets per side
15@10
15@15
15@15
12@20
12@20
Front Delt Raises w/ plate rotation one long continuous set of changing plates and it burns sooo good
15@10
15@15
15@20
10@25
10@20
10@15
19@10 as I said, all were done as one long, continuous set
Hammer Strength Machine Shoulder Press
10@40
10@40
9@40
after all was said and done, I got on the damn treadmill! I hate, and I mean hate cardio, but need to drop a little pudge around the middle and want to get down to around 5 lbs under weight class limit so that I can carb up before the meet and not have to worry about making weight. I have not been on a treadmill in a long time. Will be doing this 3 days a week now, along with swimming laps (which I actually like since it's already hitting 100 degrees here this weekend) 3 days a week.
Treadmill
20 minutes: speed 3.3: incline 7.5% not much but for a girl who doesn't want to do it, I'm okay with it
3 minute cool down
stretch and heading home______________________________

Good training today cmbg. It sounds like we have some of the same aches and pains.
Some Nikonguy info:
I'm 54 years old and have been training as a powerlifter since I turned 50. During the 2 years previous to that my weight went from 287lbs. down to 215 on my 50th birthday. The weight loss was great but I was pretty weak so I began Starting Strength. Cliffs: strength went up slowly, weight can back fast.
So far I've done a push/pull meet and two full power meets, plus a meet last year I had to scratch out of after my second bench attempt due to a shoulder issue. Last year began a cycle of injury/heal/injury/heal so i took most of the winter off just doing enough to stay limber and maintain some strength.
I was feeling better a couple of months ago and decided to to start competing again. I'm training for either a June 23 or July 8 meet here in Florida and looking for 2 more by the end of the year.
I'm looking to total over 1000 in my next meet and 1100 by November.
I've been +/= 242 for the last 3 years but my goal is to get down to the 220 weight class by early next year.
I'm married, live near Daytona Beach, FL and teach World History to 9th graders." ----------I`m your Huckleberry......'"

Took my Con-Cret and Gluta-Tren for the first time today. My Con-Cret is pineapple flavored and tastes pretty good, but has a little bit of an after taste...that I can't figure out if I like or not Did leave the gym feeling like I was ready to keep going, not sure if that was due to the supplements or not. Had a headache part way through my training session, thought it would wear off as the day went on, but no luck. I've had it all day and night and it just won't go away. Need to eat one more time as I didn't get close to my macros today with work being so hectic, and then I am off to bed. Tomorrow is chest day.______________________________

Nice squatting, the wait was worth it
As far as the con-cret it is the tangy aftertaste, I personally like the lemon lime the best. I feel like I can train for hours!!! The few times I have forgotten to bring my supps I have dragged serious ass. You will start noticing a difference the longer you are taking it. They really do make a difference.

thanks for the support
it is a tangy aftertaste, and the Gluta-Tren tastes a little like Kool-aid Since my nutrition plan doesn't vary much and really doesn't include sweets either it is something new to me. Liked the taste of both better yesterday though
Thanks Storm, glad you'll be dropping in

Yesterday was Chest Day
My PL'ing bench form still needs a little work. Yesterday I was fortunate enough to be able to work with an experienced female PL'er on my bench, and it made a great difference. I also hit a new PR Bench is my slowest moving lift, as is the case for so many women. However, that makes me more determined to make those numbers move! Started the morning with a lot of light warmup, for chest, rear delts, tri's, and lats. Then it was on to bench.
Bench
10@bar
5@65
5@85
3@95
3@95 she sees the weight, and says "oh no you don't, not the same weight again, keep your ass moving forward until you stall!"
2@105 previous PR
2@110 New PR!!!
1@115 down, down, down, then...nothing. Couldn't budge it from my chest at all. She pronounced me done! Was a big fail.
Chest Press on Hammer Strength Machine
12@90
12@90
10@90
9@90 really starting to lose steam
Decline Chest Press on Hammer Strength Machine
10@70
10@90
10@90
9@90 barely
at this point I am truly tired, didn't sleep much the night before, and have to work still. Jumped on the treadmill for 20 minutes of uneventful *blah*, and took my ass home to get ready for work.
Didn't get any burns or tingles from the Gluta-Tren or the Con-Cret like some others have mentioned....maybe I'm doin' it wrong Did enjoy the taste of both more this time than yesterday, and did not have a repeat of my headache, so am not going to attribute it to the supps in any way. Today is an off day from the gym for me and thank goodness for that, since I work a double shift today. Normally Tuesday is Back day, but will probably move it to Friday (my other off day from the gym) since I work a double shift tomorrow as well.
Everyone have a beautiful day today!Last edited by cmbg; 04-23-2012 at 07:45 AM. Reason: can't freakin' spell until I've had at least 2 cups of coffee :p

sucks about the pinched nerve NG...hope it heals up for ya. I have back issues here and there also. Kind of chronic actually. It sucks.
