In this log I'll log all my workouts in preparation for the 2012 season, as well as logging the 2012 season itself. I play football and I plan on murdering sh-t, doesn't matter how I get there - the trip may be bumpy but I'm going to do as best I can to play this sport as long as possible.
Right now I am overcoming some allergies, I have swelled up and gotten itchy spots everywhere and I just finished a PL meet last saturday (1475 total), I haven't been eating much or trained since the meet so I am probably at the weakest point I have been in awhile
Tomorrow I hit up a nice short light work out to get back in the groove of things. I want to keep this log short and to the point, if you want to follow along that would be much appreciated, but please limit the posting, if you have questions - PM me.
As far as training goes I am doing a modified upper/lower, very similar to WS4WB accept I changed up some of the assistance work and tried to keep the main idea there (ME and DE days still have the same meaning behind it). You'll notice my upper body days have a lot more volume, my entire upper body is lagging while my lower body towers it. I also have additional sprint/conditioning/plyo work with some ME/DE work with weights, whereas my upper body work is just in the weight room.
Tomorrow I'll log my first workout, it won't be anything fancy, in fact more so boring and weak but it'll get my feet a little wet for the upcoming weeks of training.
My goals before football season starts (August 15)
675 Squat (wrapped and to depth)
365 Bench (not paused, but not a football player bench, no spot, touch-n-go, ass stays on bench)
635 Deadlift (sumo, no hitch)
275 Power Clean
BW of 220 (relatively lean, currently about 200 @ 14-15%, carb depleted, my waist is easily sub 30')
