Get an auto already. Modern autos are vastly superior to manuals in pretty much every way. Go down to any track, if you go watch drag racing every single car will be auto. The only manuals will be the ones with inferior times. lol @ thinking driving manual is cool. auto > manual, a modern auto is superior to a manual in every way

Your point is only really valid on high HP cars on a track. For a DD street car, I'd much rather have a manual than an auto...even high end autos have shortcomings as far as rev match/downshifting.

first real drag cars with auto transmissions are not the same as the auto in your moms passat. also try road racing in an auto, not going to be as fast. computer can't predict what is coming up like a driver can.

For daily driving, a manual adds much more excitement into the actual act of driving than an automatic ever did. Definitely feel more engaged if that makes sense.
Both have places where they excel though.
