    Lost all motivation

    Sorry to sound emo, but I've pretty much lost my motivation to work out. After a minor operation last year I decided to work out seriously and put on muscle since I was pretty skinny. All went well for a few months and I've put on a fair bit of muscle, but since about December/January I noticed I bloat everyday, progressively getting worse until I get a pregnant belly. Saw the doc, diagnosed with IBS. I tried for about 3 weeks to fix my diet up and it did jack ****, plus the fact I changed my diet meant I had to put bulking on hold.

    I saw the doc again and received basically no help. It's pissed me off because I never had this issue before in my life until after I started working out after my op. What's worse is that I can't even figure out what's causing it, because I know I'm not actually fat when I wake up every morning with a flat belly. I haven't been to the gym now for about 3 weeks and I'm doubting whether to go back because I can lift all I want, my belly makes me look like a fat **** just because I eat a meal.

    Try switching to a specialist that deals with digestive issues.
    There are other members on this board with IBS who have posted many threads on ways to deal with it.
    Don't give up.

    My partner has IBS and the doctors advised to cut out wheat so maybe you could try that
