You're gonna kill your avg pace if you do it walking. Set up a Nike plus account for walking if you're gonna do that. Then have another for just running.

This...No shark attacks in Aruba, that I know off, but a cousin of mine was fishing at the beach (yes just standing there in the sand) and they caught a freaking bull shark. It's no Jaws, but 55 KG of shark is enough to keep me away from that beach for at least 24 months.

i was neck deep when i caught it, then i saw momma shark like 100 yds out. never again will i have the balls to surf fish that far out again.

Kids have been attacked in less than 3 feet of water but they weren't by Great Whites...I think they were Bull sharks.. Apparently Great Whites pups love southern California beaches.. Its the Typically the smaller ones that are around 9ft that tend to "test bight" surfers here.

A 15-16 foot G/W that bit a guy through the board and took a large chunk of his chest with him, he did not survive

1 was fatal (the one i posted above) the other the guy survived I don't know how because he was also bit in the chest but it seemed the shark didn't like the taste and only gave him a "test bite".. he did lose a lot of blood though.

You have to realize that "neck deep" for my n-word FTW is only about 4-5 steps into the ocean for regular sized folks.
