Not good on the breathing issues. Hope you can get it sorted out.
So awesome!!! WTG!
Hope it gets better quickly! Nice progress pics.
The Warrior Dash is really a piece of cake. You're for sure strong enough for all the challenges along the way. I thought they were super easy. The running isn't bad either. I think it's only 3 miles max. Think of it as more fun. What a great date!
Two outrigger races done this weekend. One 1/2 mile, and a 1 mile. Hard sprints, but it's feeling good. We'll paddle the canoes back to our practice site today. There's a swell coming in on Wednesday, so right now it's just 1-2'. Shouldn't be too bad.Kristin "Never mind your failures today...get back on that horse and RIDE!"

I apologize for being lazy and not quoting everyone specifically, but congrats to you guys/gals that are staying on track! I hope the injured (ie. Nitro and moore) get well soon! I've been insanely busy and not keeping up on the thread too well, but still hitting the weights and trying to eat with a purpose. I'm starting Krav Maga this week, so we'll see how that goes. I probably lost 5lbs working on that dang honey-do list in the 100+ degree heat this past weekend!
Anyways, check in tomorrow everyone!Chuck Norris is so fast, he can start a fire by rubbing two ice cubes together.

Leg day today... Legs are BEAT.
Had some awesome scrambled eggs. 4 whole eggs, one medium yellow onion chopped, 2 chopped jalapenos, and 2 chopped habaneros. Then topped off with a slice of american cheese and bacon. Only downside was when the peppers were cooking the steam let off burnt the inside of my nose >.<

Thanks caprica6 No courage required to post pics. I look the way I look and at my age, I just don't care who sees me anymore...lol. However it would be nice to be ripped instead of fat. Just need more time to get there/
Thanks mom2e3 We have a couple of outrigger clubs here. I live walking distance to a harbor. Looks like a fun way to work out.Weighed - 281 lbs on 1/1/2012

After weeks of being plateaued (however that is spelled), bouncing around between 188 & 192 I've finally started to drop weight again - hit 185 today.
More of a milestone at the weekend. I've been wearing fat-ass 38"+expandable waistband trousers (so really 39-40" waist) for the last 3 or 4 years. I gave up on those about 2 months ago as they were too baggy, and had noticed that the real 38s were getting a bit loose as well. I tried on some of my old 36" waist pairs, and found they fitted comfortably - first time I've been able to wear them for a long time. Felt good! Guess I've been getting a bit slimmer, even when the weight wasn't coming off.

Get thee to a club! It's the most amazing full body workout evah! Of course, upper body does tend to get more built, but after a long-ish run (like today--6 miles straight), my glutes and hamstrings are feeling it! And talk about a good calorie burn. It's my most favorite to-do sport. One day I'll own my own one-man canoe.
(Of course, eating the calories burned up in practice negates the whole experience...well, almost) lolKristin "Never mind your failures today...get back on that horse and RIDE!"

176lbs! WTF?!?!?
I've been eating a lot more carbs. but still. LOL!
My back is getting better. I can bend over to load the dishwasher without feeling that tearing pain.
But it still hurts.
I haven't used my whirlpool tub since the winter but man it's getting a work out this week.
My Mom told me "it's too bad you don't have your hot-tub installed yet" i'm not sure if she's messing with me or not though.
I didn't do any permanent damage, no slipped discs or anything like that.
But still.
Like any injury it sucks.
Just waiting until I can do light deadlifts again. Not going to force it.

Up .2 to 225.4 over my usual Sunday weigh in. Must be the wine I had Sunday evening and the Skinny Cow mint ice cream sandwich after dinner last night.

I coulda swore eggs had 80 calories in them. The cheese was low fat, so only 25 calories. total meal calories came to around 500-540. I don't mind that. I like whole eggs more than just the whites. If i go whites only i put them in my protein drinks. With the onion and everything it was a BIG meal though. I like getting 1-3 decent size meals a day over a bunch of little meals.

90/80, depends on your egg size.
Take a read of this for calories http://www.fitsugar.com/Egg-Whites-v...e-Eggs-7291034
And my personal experience, 1 whole egg with 2/3 whites tastes just fine.1k+

Eesh. Up to 207. Ayoye... Then again, I've been painting/moving my lady/putting together furniture all weekend, eating crappy, and drinking lots of Coors Lite... Could be MUCH WORSE!

Finally broke the three-week plateau down to 169.8 --- for all intents and purposes it's 170 but the scale read 169.8 twice and I've been dying for the past two weeks to see it read < 170 lbs. Original goal was to be at ~10% bodyfat at 165 lbs but I'm thinking I'm going to have to cut to 160 lbs or maybe even 155lbs before I'm happy with the my physique.
Anyway, good luck everyone and good job on progress made! Sorry to hear about those of you folks with injuries. Also, jehutyzone123 I've been meaning to tell you that those woodcarvings are friggin amazing.
Prob won't be on tomorrow so everyone take care, have a good 4th, and when the food hits the grill just smile, pop a beer, and forget about calories/macros for a day. Everybody needs a break and I know I'm going to enjoy it!

Im up to 153 as of yesterday so i put on 7 pounds and my pants are feeling a little tight once again. Ive also been feeling under the weather the last couple of days. I hope i soon snap out of it.
Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.
