Paging Bama and his "oh heavenly blessed". Steffy, you are looking angelic in this pic.
Outstanding! You've lost 55.6 lbs since Feb 1... You probably won't see this in time, but I hope you have a great trip.
You are so silly. (no cougar)

Hit chest/tris hard yesterday. Then taking the next week off from lifting. Going to get a good workout from the chainsaw carving competition. 29 hours of carving on a log that could be 6-8 feet tall and up to 6 feet wide, plus a 1.5 hour quick carve over the 4 day event. Might up my cals as well too. Want to keep my energy for the week. Anyone around Reedsport, oregon should check it out though. Its a super cool competition. 14th-17th. http://www.odcsc.com

This thread is so fantastic. Accountability, support, and props when you lose the fat. Never leaving again! Diet was on point all last week and I got some good news from the scale this morning.
Last Saturday I had a minor motorcycle crash and my shoulder was too sore to lift all week. Big bummer. Finally got back into the gym yesterday and lifted lightly. Still couldn't do chins, but I managed a bench press set and some overhead presses. Also, neck work. I spent my injury week reading Beyond Brawn. Anybody have experience with that book? It really helped me. My training was already informed by Martin Berkhan (who was in turn inspired by Beyond Brawn), but I found the book spectacularly helpful. For the first time I'm actively training neck, grip, and calves (always found calf raises stupid, but I'll give 'me a go). My neck is so sore!
First time in roughly 10 days I've had sore muscles from lifting. So good. How is everyone else's weekend?Fat and weak, but getting better.
1RMs as of 6/06/2012:
Squat: 320
Bench Press: 215
Deadlift: 350
Overhead Press: 120
Weighted Chin: +50

Just had 2 huge bowls of veggies....broccoli, potato, cauliflower, carrots, green beans, peas, tomatoes. Pressure cooked them gently in low sodium chicken broth with spices...and then mashed them lightly into chunks. It was so bomb that after a big bowl (2 cups) I went for another big bowl !! I guess I am gonna eat my veggies this way from nao.

:-D
That's my kind of humor man.
Hope everybody had a good weekend, I didn't cheat too much, had a good healthy BBQ, salmon and home made burgers with salad and cous cous, was full for hours.
Also did 3 miles in 19 minutes this morning, I'm still getting quicker, 47 days until the Spartan Race!
Oh and the salmon, try this recipe, the skin was lovely!
