Congrats to everybody above. Even if you think you've stalled out a a little, maintenance is hard work, too!
I weighed in at 126 yesterday, and 126.5 lbs today.
I thought about you after I posted that - thought you might have a unique perspective! I'm glad you challenged yourself and got an unexpected reward. There's a guy in the m isc section who's been hiking in HI and posting pics...

feel like I got jobbed in that other competition
The guys who won definitely had very strong showings, but to be left off 2 judges score cards is BS
I guess buying merchandise is one of the prereqs
especially considering one of the guys ahead of me barely changed and was already in great shape
whatever, Ill keep fighting and working
All i know for sure is I wont be outworked for the real prize of aesthetics

I cant use my body bugg right now because its stuck in a software glitch so body bugg is going to send me a new one when i send mine back. They also gave me an extra 2 months subscription. On a different note i made up my mind im going to lose weight until my stomach is in the right proportions. The 130 pound weight should hit that target. Im tired of looking at how my stomach is now. I will have lost a total of 46.4 pounds since i started losing weight if i go to that goal. I never dreamed i had that much to lose to look good.
Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

i guess the fact there is such a discrepancy between being placed on 4 judges and not being placed on the first 2(whom im assuming are the sponsors) lets me know that it may have not been all about the merits of transforming our bodies
IE the Vytis guy lost 5 lbs, was already in good shape but if you look at both the befores and afters its a minute difference, yet he scored higher than a bunch of people more deserving than him(yet i know for a fact he buys their products)
its all politics
im glad we dont do that here, what we have going in the last few comps with nitro have helped me more than anything. And for that im thankful

Look at you go!
I was really expecting to see a minor difference in your midsection, but it's tightened up significantly! Props to you--you definitely look much more muscle-y.
Big time congrats!!!!
It's definitely something. The same two judges who left you off, awarded me 4th and 5th. I'm so not worthy of that ranking, especially considering that the women under me did some amazingly hard work, even if they are still overweight.Kristin "Never mind your failures today...get back on that horse and RIDE!"

I agree very good improvement in the chest and trap areas.
About the only area I know thats improving for me is the biceps and all im doing is the bicep machine. I feel a very concentrated rep when I use that machine. The only other thing that works as 2nd best is when i did two arm cable bicep curls. The one thing I noticed universally in others in the gym if you want large triceps is closer grip bench presses. I do see though that people who exclusively bench press this way look big arm wise but their maximum bench power suffers compared to their size. Im going to start doing closer grip bench presses because I really like the look it gives the tricep muscle.Last edited by stingray72; 06-05-2012 at 04:36 PM.

New month, start as new.
Put on a lb over the last week, I guess I had room to put it on though, I've lost a bit too much too quick.
Will up my protein and start the month as if it's the beginning again and hit it hard.
Come on everyone, keep at it!
(I wonder how much weight we'll all have lost, in total, by the end of this?)1k+

I at El Napol (Mexican) last night while watching the Miami game. I drank 4 beers, big basket of chips and salsa, and Monicas Platter (Grilled Chicken and Shrimp over a bed of a rice, with Queso Cheese.)
Back to the grind this week to lose a few more pounds!
Finally seeing 199.8 when I was 250 last year keeps me going!
Thanks for the motivation guys and gals.

Think i've made progress on my arms but i wont know for sure until i take some measurements.
