I officially decided to start building some of my own bars and misc. equipment. By trade I am a crane mechanic so I have availability to my own shop and my customers ie: steel.distributors, Fab shops etc..
I'm going to start with a Fat DL bar, Swiss bar and Cambered bar. Also pinch blocks, clock grips and another dead lift jack.
Open to any and all feedback on anything, especially measurements.

Excellent work. I too have been interested in having a Deadlift Jack made. Your mini jack design is spot on. Is it U bar on the top or did you weld 3 pieces of flat?

Nice clean welds. I'm jealous of the skills if the welders on this forum. Keep up the good work mate.

Had some time this morning so I made a squat box for myself. Right now I have a 10" and 4" section. I like how they came out. They are 18"x18".

My other projects are coming along. I have the schedule 40 piping cut to length, picked up a 1/4" 2'x4' PC of plate for the has of my land mine. I also have the tubing halfway done for the Swiss bar.

Here's another one. Easy to do, not worth buying. Making a single, double, triple and quad. 2x6, 15" long board, 5" handle with roughly a 2" diameter. Used 2 10' lengths @ $15. I'm using gorilla wood glue and 2 1/2" screws.

Almost done. Need to sand the 4-board still. The wood is pretty wet so I will need to wait to stain it. Otherwise they look good.

I got the 4 color set off Elitefts. Wait till they go on sale, I also got free shipping.. They come with a huge chart explaining the resistance. Might check the site, maybe it's posted there also.
Thanks man. I'm finding that making equipment is great stress relief. I go back to work tomorrow and will place a order for more steel..▪██─────██▪ Ivanko Barbell Crew #3 ▪██─────██▪

After seeing Proteinand... custom built tree, it looked like my cybex and inspired me to add a chalk bowl to mine.
I bought a $10 stainless steel bowl @ Target. Brought a 3/8" bolt, lock washer and flat washer home from work. Found center on the rack and bowl, then drilled them out. I drilled out the top of the rack one size smaller and then tapped it for 3/8". I ended up using the flat washer between the rack and bowl because it made it more rigid.
Took about 10min, can't beat that.
