Then by all means expand. There are many organisations that seek to help people all over this little blue green planet we live on. What's so special about religion? I find most people use it as crutch to explain things in their life they don't understand. I got a promotion? God did it. My mom died? God did it. Tornado? God must be angry with me

If someone wants to think that when their friend or someone in their family die that they go to a better place why is that bad? If it makes them feel better then why shouldn't they believe that? A lot of people can't handle the fact that when we die we simply cease to exist, in a lot of ways it is depressing when you truly dwell on it.

Most of them support science. It's not like they want to start burning science books and that kind of stuff. What they disagree about is usually stuff like evolution/theories on our existence.

No, i just realize that there is no altruism without god. We are all just fighting it out in a gene pool and forming alliances to better our chances, protecting those whose genes are closest to ours. No one is a protagonist and no one is an antagonist. Everyone is the same germ.
