It looks to be a bumpy ride for folks in the middle of the country this afternoon late and into Sunday. From northern Texas, up through Oklahoma, Kansas, and into Nebraska it may well get pretty dicey! It is unusual for the National Weather Service to issue warnings 24 hours in advance of an outbreak of severe weather, but it appears that some nasty goings on are on the menu for this weekend.
Keep safe, and keep your ears to the ground for warnings. I pray that there will be no great loss of life, despite the doubtless destruction that will come whirling down out of the Spring sky later on today.

Won't do any good for this afternoon's outbreak, but I'm checking out/pricing 'safe-rooms' and/or in ground cellars for my Mom. They're not cheap! But if you live in a storm-prone area of the country, it's a wise investment. I'll feel a lot better when she's got one!

Either of you guys in Oklahoma? I haven't heard from the folks up there. I understand Oklahoma has got tornadoes all over the place and softball sized hail. No answer at my Mom's, and no returned text from a nephew. There's a large shelter at the Volunteer Fire Department in their little town. I trust they're in it!

LOL I'm becoming like an 'old woman' as I advance in age. Ha ha Mom didn't answer the phone because she was in the shower. My nephew texted me, finally. They're alright. This system is moving a lot slower, evidently, than what had been forecast. They'll not feel the brunt of these Spring storms til' between 12:00 and 3:00 this morning! The tornadoes and hail were way out west, some 150/200 miles from them. Poor folks there! God bless and keep them. This 'Spring tumble' is supposed to blow into Dallas around 4:00 this morning.

It's blowing a gale and raining like cats and dogs on the north side of Dallas. It's as calm as can be where I'm at! I think Oklahoma got pummelled by some 88 tornadoes yesterday and last night. 5 dead out west in Woodward. My folks got through the night without any harrowing experiences. Trust the members here have weathered the storms well.
