Like you after the first few days I was fine. The last probably 2 weeks it progressively got worse as we got closer and closer to graduation and I knew I would be able to smoke again.

That's a very different scenario though. You hadn't mentally quit yet. You weren't smoking because you couldn't. So you still felt deprived. If you actually make the volitional decision to quit though, the hardest part is the initial withdrawal phase.

Well part of me has to disagee. I didn't mention there was opportunities for me to both smoke and dip once or twice in basic. Granted I was terrified of getting caught, I still had no problem saying no knowing I more than likely wouldn't get caught. But once I was free it was fair game.

Yeah. It's a complicated thing. Quitting smoking is incredibly difficult. Yet once you do it, you realize how easy it really is. The trick is just not smoking ever again. Ha.

All the civlian ladies at my work smoke those electronic deals. I bought one on my last deployment and never tried it. I'm gonna grab it in a few weeks when I go home to visit the fam and I'll give it a shot. Who knows maybe it'll be the spark lol.

I smoke 1 or 2 cigarettes a week, mainly only if I drink. I really dont think that such a small amount would have negative effects.
