Sounds amazing bro.. How do you get into these "group rides" or "Local A Rides".. is there like a certain website you go to which points out rides in your area? I've been reading about "Cat5, Cat4, Cat3" ect ect across different forums but I have NO idea how people get there.. and what it even means lol.
If you had a link that explains it all it would be much appreciated breh.
and a I ride a GT Series 2, with SRAM Apex components atm... THANKFULLY not sora(Had it on my last bike)

My local ride has been going on for 30 years. Most local rides are based on long traditions of people gather at one spot at a particular time and riding. The entire group (including all levels) often is over 100 people with the A ride being about 20+.
You are in San Diego, so there is a great resource with SoCalCycling.com. They have all of the popular SoCal rides listed here.

As far as CAT numbers, that is based on their racing level. You would be a CAT5 until after 10 races, then a CAT4 and you move on from there based on points gained at races. If you want to race I suggest joining a local team and hanging with them on their group rides for a bit...then jump in a few CAT5 races and see how you like it.**Official Bicycle Crew** Ờờ
