    Precontest Macro breakdown help

Hey fellas. Starting a new contest prep without a trainer this year. Normally, my macro break down would consist of a 45%, 35%, and 20% protein, carbs, and fat respectively. This has worked for me in the past but I sacrifice a lot of muscle in the process. After doing some research through some peer reviewed journals I found a publication for the optimal break down consisting of 25% protein, 50% carb, and 25% fat. Has anyone used this break down with success?
    It's not a sprint, its a marathon
