If I want to build lean muscle. I am running on IIFYM.
Right now my coach has me on these macros:
Cal: 2638
Fats: 47
Carbs: 282
Protein: 259
I can't ask my coach this question because he specifically told me these next 3 weeks he won't answer e-mails because he will be busy. And keep in mind he is doing this for me for the price of free.
Anyways, today I calculated everything I had eaten. I realized that I hit my Carbs, Protein and Fats. However on Calories I come up anywhere from 300-500 calories short of the target amount.
However, if I hit the carbs and proteins, is this a no biggie? Or will it keep me from gaining?
The problem is I don't eat any meat. Since I am on the go all day, all my protein comes from drinking egg whites. Egg whites have small amounts of calories.

Your post makes no sense and your macro's are off.
If you have your math's right then when you hit your macros then you hit your calories.
However to start with your maths is slightly off
Fats: 47 * 9 = 423
Carbs: 282 * 4 = 1128
Protein: 259 * 4 = 1036
that makes 2587 calories. If you hit all your macros exactly you will eat 2587 calories.
PS, eat more fatDont diet and exercise - Eat and train!
