I did it at 205 natty before back injury. I have lifted for about a year this time around but never can consistantly keep at it because my work schedule, physically demandind job, injury, and physical exhaustion. If i wasn't dealing with all this i could probably put up alot more.
Do it today tommorow it will be illegal.

What's the best routine to increase bench strength? Not smolov Jr either
I seem to be stalling even with 5/3/1 but maybe I just need to give it more time***COUNTRYMIKE APPRECIATION CREW***

<----life long natty, ***got. 315 is easy to get to. It's the weight after that, that is hard (srs). Actually every pound since 365 bench I had to really fight for. My deadlift has also capped.

My best friend can do 405 x 1 totally natty. He is 24 now and lifted since he was about 14. He lifts at least 4 times a week and hasn't been able to lift more then that for the past 2.5 years or so. He has small legs though lol.

Goodness no. Thats the standard natty limit. Growing up the boys in the hood (not me) used to do that all the time.

^^pretty sure I could easily hit 315 under 190 lbs if I bulked properly for another year or so.
OP: not even close. I'm only about 45 lbs away and I'm nowhere near my natty limit. I also have a small frame, not ideal for powerlifting. I think anyone with average genetics could hit 315 and I know plenty of natties that put up 315+.Last edited by TAS44; 04-12-2012 at 05:49 PM.

I can do 10X315 and it took me around 10 years of lifting to reach it. But I've only ever been a recreational lifter with highly irregular weight training. Martial arts and "soccer" have been my sports. I only lift to kick people harder in the head and bench was always lowest priority.
EDIT: To make the answer slightly more relevant, I reached 315 after 3+ years weighing 198 at the time.

Don't be afraid to make mistakes, stumble and fall, because most of the time, the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe, you'll get everything you wish for. Maybe, you'll get more then you could ever have imagined. Who knows where life will take you. The road is long, and in the end - - the journey is the destination.
