Felt so much better today after getting back into it with 2 sessions last week. Added 10lbs more. Took an extra day of recovery time, although I was not rested well after working my butt off this weekend unpacking and building some bookshelves. 6 mins rest after 1st set, got distracted taking measurements and thinking about building a platform and took 10 mins rest before 3rd set. Will do another +10lbs for Wednesday.

Much better today. Tightened up form and setup a good bit, focused a lot better, also put a folded up towel behind my back on the bench to get a tiny bit of extra height. Didn't have the issue hitting the pins as bad today. I really have to shrug at the top of the rep to get the weight clearly back on the pins.
I don't have 2 sets of 10lb weights, but I have some heavy cast collars that weigh almost 5lbs each. Used those with my 5s and that's good enough. Need to get some more cast 10s. Same thing on deadlift at 265.

I dunno. Probably will do just one more +10lbs on squat up to 255 and then do +5. Probably +5 on Press to 125 or 130, depending on feel. Haven't decided on bench if I'll do another +10 or just switch to +5. Deadlift I'll probably just do +10. It has been a few months, but when I worked out last before, I just hopped in the gym after a layoff and squatted 265 and benched 200.

Some travel for work, but mostly just busy and not in the routine. We have had quite a few guests in the new house, had a housewarming party (which really had us focused on fixing things and unpacking for a while, to get the place "ready"), etc. Just life in the way. Got back into it on Saturday with some dropped down weights on squat and bench. Didn't do deadlifts. Have a squat vid but probably too lazy to upload.

Sticking with the every other day thing as long as I can. Was a bit distracted today - we got a new dog this weekend and was thinking about her and our old dog we lost last year.

7 mins rest. Not too bad, despite the distractions. First set tough but eased up a bit after that. I mean, these sets all felt tough, but I think a lot of that is I'm just not used to a really tough set anymore. So medium tough seems really tough.

Was going to do 180x5x3, +5 from last time's 175x5x3. I was all sorts of off on these. 180 felt like it might as well have been 275, did the one rep and racked it. Regrouped and reloaded to 175. Just not feeling strong. Not focused. Need to work on form. Maybe this '175' was heavier than the last '175' because I used the 15lb bumper plates and a 5 instead of using the cast 10s, 5s and 5lb collars like last time. I dunno...probably just need to keep working on bench form, maybe change my warmups more so I'm doing more sets with smaller jumps and doing more reps overall at submaximum weights to practice that form. I'll think about it and change something up next time.

Nice squatting. And I laughed when you reracked the bench and just laid there for a bit. That's happened to me so many times when I give up on a bench set and I just lie there staring at the ceiling like, wtf.
