I am considering adding probiotics to my supplements hopefully to help combat some digestive issues I am having. I'm trying to decide if it would be better to use a capsule like Primal Defense Ultra or something like Myofusion Probiotic formula.
So as far as Pros and Cons go the only things I come up with are:
Capsule (pro) easy to take (con) I'm not good at remembering to take anything after my 1st vits in the morning
Myo/or other drink (pro) I drink whey shakes 1-3 times daily so adding 1 w/probiotics wouldn't be difficult (con) do they work as good as capsules? not really a con but I don't know the answer and hate to waste money
Anybody care to weigh in with their own pros and/or cons either way?
P.S. I tried digestive enzymes and they didn't help and I'm lactose intolerant so yogurt is out.
TIA!

Probiotics - Pill vs Liquid ?
You have to train your mind the same way you train your body. You must protect it against the negative and feed it with the positive. Be mindful of what you watch, what you read and who you allow to influence you. Learn to consider your thoughts emotions and actions. Trust your gut face your fears head on and never quit. AJ Roberts

The type of probiotics used in myo are different from what is in most caps. Probiotics need to be able to survive in the acidic gastric environment so that they can reach the small intestine and colonize. At present, probiotics are almost exclusively consumed as fermented dairy products such as yogurt or freeze-dried cultures, or in caps. In most caps, you generally want a higher number and store in the fridge to enhance shelf-life. In myo it is unknown how much survive. When this product first came out there was a thread where I asked the gaspari reps what is the % of survivability and I did not get a definitive answer.

The GanedenBC30 probiotic we use in Myofusion Pro has a high survivability rate. Here's a journal article on it http://wageningenacademic.metapress....bcd867283&pi=3Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
