It also takes a smooth surface whereas people play soccer in rocky dirt.

in basketball all you have to be is tall to be good, not every position, but you can go pro in the NBA just for being tall. example being shaq. no matter how big or tall you are in soccer it won't be a deciding factor because you need to be skilled. you can play basketball on concrete as long as you have hoops so you're not making much sense in that aspect either.

for basket ball you need 2 hoops, wooden floors for proper basketball, and paint on the flooring
hockey is way more than a stick and a ball.. im not even sure if your serious with this one, probably the most expensive gear-wise
track and feild are morelike competitions than sports
baseball you need bases, chalk for the lines, gloves, and a big open field, and pads for the catcher, helmet for batters
wrestling you need floor mats which most people wouldnt even think to buy kiddo
