Last timei checked, it was $55 for 67 servings or so, or 5lbs. Not too expensive but still more than cheapass concentrate and some isolates
Some of their flavors are as low as 23g of protein per scoop. Thats way on the low side of te spectrum
Its also not sold in any stores (ilive in california, may be different somwhere else)
No one outside bb.com even knows what the hell it is
And high school kids and gym newbs do flame about speedy absorption and dont think in terms of daily protein intake as much making them prefer the easier to obtain, cheaper, "faster" whey proteins.
Dont be oblivious to the obvious. Ive bought trutein in the passed and it was gewd ****. But i have an amazon prime account an would rather buy free shipping isolate for a little less than pay $6 each time i wanted to order from bb.com
Besides, im under the idea that protein is protein as long as i get my macros in. Id rather mix isolate woth milk and ground up oats than take 2 scoops of trutein
Counter claim me plz

Looking forward to your review! I've only tried the CPB flavor and it was amazing!
Trutein will become more popular with time... Also there are other websites which do carry it much cheaper than BB.com.(**Beast Sports Nutrition Head Rep**)

The price is what caused me to delay purchasing it until I found it on sale (I guess ****Bucket can scratch "never on sale" off his list haha). However, the non-proprietary labeling makes it easy to see that Trutein is worth the money. Other protein blends are mainly composed of the cheapest source of protein and fillers, yet are only priced slightly lower.

You clearly need to get out of bb.com and Amazon more often. The percentage of protein is the same if not better than other protein blends (Myofusion, for example). The amount of protein per scoop is lower because it contains a fiber blend, Omega-3s, nucleotides, and enzymes. It's certainly not because of cheap filler ingredients. If you stick around for the review, I'll hit you with some more knowledge

Im going to have to weigh in, because youre getting out of hand and have really cheap arguments, all you're doing is going on an information rant.
1.Price is High For Truetin, Its basically at the range of getting An quality Isolate just for a tad more.
1b)If price is high that means you should be looking for quality ingredients:
Egg Whites & Casein Protein are not quality ingredients, It also says whey from concentrate. So the %Isolate in the Whey portion is already in danger.
Only Isolates are quality, because of the processing.
c) Using Chocolate Covered Banana: Its only a 67.6% protein per 34g's. This is terrible, its equivalent to Wal-mart Brand.
Using Cinnabun: It doesn't even say the scoop size, it just says a "level Scoop". Which unfortunately is becoming a trend to hide the % of protein/scoop
2. Sweetener, for its price you'd hope for a better sweetener than Sucralose. Such as stevia or luo han guo
3. You say an argument off" fiber blend, Omega-3s, nucleotides, and enzymes."
I dont want useless fiber in my protein. Nor do I want Omega-3's these are cheaper fillers using the "its good for you" marketing to justify cost.
Every protein has nucleotides. As long as the Protein is heat-induced filtration , it will have enzymes, And in this day in age of supplements you better not be using sh!tty methods.
4. The longer the list of ingredients, the more of a chance they're using the wrong things and making up for it in the flavoring , inturn, making it "good". This is why bro's will approve, just like why iffym reigns.
So Why would I order it?
I Really don't care about Flavoring But I was curious as how a Cinnabun flavor would be but I would probably never order it again(its incoming atm).
Its a protein blend; Your body doesn't really care where your protein.
But its a necessity IMO to try everything before you knock it.
Though, all my red-flags are up and told me not to do it. I'm shipping into Canada and if i'm ordering it , it better be good or i'm going at it for a wasted of a shipment.
p.s. - Another Flag is not displaying protein profile, I have to wait until it comes to see if the profile is good or not.Last edited by RugbyTank; 04-10-2012 at 12:51 PM.
