FINALLY Found a Cottage Cheese That Tastes Good!
I used to hate the taste of cottage cheese, but when I started working out I added it to my diet for the protein. I recently tried Breakstone's Small Curd 2% and it's way better than any other brand I've tasted. I got an 8-pack at a wholesale club for $5 which seems like a pretty good deal. I will happily pay a little more for cottage cheese that doesn't give me a gag reflex.

Cottage cheese contains virtually no whey protein.

I knew it was mostly milk protein but I thought there was some whey in there too. Oh well it's still a very good protein source.

Are you referring to the Breakstone with fiber added? That is the only CC I eat as well. There is consistency issues however, sometimes it is delicious, sometimes it is extremely watery and disgusting.

Didn't know they make one w/ fiber. Do you know what they add for fiber? Chicory root?

So true. I always avoided CC because I hated the soft watery consistency. When the curds are hard they taste like cream cheese, ala Breakstone's. Pretty sure it's only available on the east coast though.

Breakstone's is freakin' legit. I go through periods where I'll eat a tub every day for a month straight.

Take any cottage cheese, put a spoonful (5-10g) of cocoa powder, can't taste it. I add a spoonful of honey to otherwise it tastes like bland chocolate, a small price to pay to get a lot of protein I've only had a few brands though :P

I like the Daisy brand. I usually mix peanut butter in it and it makes people sick to look at. Like newborn poop.

no salt added cottage cheese is GROSS for the record. bought it thinking i could afford to get rid of some sodium from my diet, but damn the texture/taste is wayyyy worse.
