My friend flirts, and teases, etc too....probably because its safe...he knows nothing would happen...he probably likes the attention,too...
IMO, the guy probably likes you, but I am not sure I would want to be in a relationship with someone that unsure of his feelings....

He claims to be straight. He's married (although I'm not sure if happily). People have always assumed he's gay at work because of how much he flirts with gay guys. I personally think he's somewhat bisexual.
It is pretty weird. Our industry is just very laid back and the type of culture allows this type of stuff to happen. I've just always been his favorite employee since I started there, and he used to be very affectionate and loving with me until after Christmas. And obviously he knows I'm gay, so the flirting came with full knowledge of that fact.
what was the present you bought him?
However, his Christmas gifts could have been what made him question my feelings for him and start to pull back. It's my only theory on the issue.

So just an update. Friday, he apparently made a remark to a female co-worker/friend that I've been really sad and it's all his fault. She agreed and says she knows. Then told him that him and I are friends and he should take care of me. That's apparently all they said. After work that night, him and I just chatted about something stupid for a few minutes and he gave me a hug and a kiss. But Sunday, we barely talked. Few words here and there, and a high five. Otherwise very quiet between us. Such a complicated situation. And as much as it shouldn't, it's pretty upsetting. Wish I could read his mind and figure him out.

Weirdness and controversy continue to follow me wherever I go!
Seems I have been banned from the local gay bar. The owner thinks I wrote some not-nice letters about his business and his recently deceased employee, and has given me all hell for it. I never wrote a single letter about either subject, but he insists that I did and that "it is not appreciated". Fukkin douchebag.... This doesn't punish me very much because I can live without that place, but still... my ego is very bruised by this, and I don't know what to do about it. I don't cause trouble and I'm a good patron, so WTF is his deal?

He says I wrote it on my "little computer", so it must be on the Internet. But I did a search and it turned up nothing, as I expected. I know I didn't write any letters!

Two big cases being heard this week with the US Supreme Court, which could change everything with gay marriage in this country....I would love to think things could change, but I'm not very optimistic.....

A small update. I went back to the bar, and told this guy that the way he spoke to me was simply unacceptable. He actually thought I was going to apologize! I pointed out that I wrote no letters, he admitted that he has no facts, but somehow I still owe him an apology, and that I am unacceptable! He also says he's had a number of complaints about me from patrons, and his staff, and he's sick of my sh*t. I finally asked him who the f*ck he thinks he is, and told him he cannot treat people this way. All he's doing is making sure that I won't ever spend money at his place again - if he ever *learns* his place.
I get that he's grieving for his friend, but that's no excuse for this cruel tone and false accusations.
Here's the clincher. I have earlier committed to performing at the silent auction that is being held to raise funds for the upcoming Pride. And this, of course, is held at this damn poof bar. I will definitely go and support my community and honour my commitment, but I fear this jackass may upset the event and disturb my performance.
How can I get peace between us? I don't think I did half the sh*t I am accused of, but I refuse to get on my knees and apologize when I'm not guilty. (inb4 lewd comment about 'getting on my knees') I'm really in trouble here, and need some help! The thing I like least about the treadmill is that I can't run from my farts. -- Source unknown

No smoke without fire - Im in no way implying any of this is generated by you in the manner he percieves it but either something you have done has been misconstrued or something someone else has done is being missapplied. That is enrirely up to him to sort out though if it really is an impact on yourself perhaps less attacking him for it (and weirdly backing up his opinions) and trying to work with him or on your own to track the source of this unpleasentness would go a long way.

Be a man and apologize for your behavior toward the bar, patrons and owner. Tell him/them that you have matured and will no longer be a pain in the ass. I'm sure once you apologize all will go back to normal, so swallow your pride and apologize to squash this new drama in your life.

I'm guessing you are not the type of person that would try to see this from their point of view plus you already admitted that half the accusations were true or some truth to them. I'm not judging but if you wish to do your event and support Pride then a simple apology is all it takes (unless the request is more). Do, don't do and live with it.

All right, this is getting us nowhere. If I were guilty and had done something wrong, I would apologize for it because, unlike this owner, I have morals and decency. My problem with this guy is that he admitted he had no facts which means no evidence - which (as any lawyer will tell) means that he has no case. Somehow I'm required to apologize for things I didn't do. That's just not going to happen. He can suck a fart out of my ass hole for aught I care.
So I'm exercising my options and not going back. I don't need the drama and the B.S. and I'm getting too old for this high school nonsense. I will do my benefit thing and be done. The place is full of posers, cokeheads and cokepushers, and washed-up old queens anyway. The bar isn't my scene at all, and never has been. If you look back at the other Gay Threads from 2008 onwards and find my immature posts, you can see the kind of crazy I meet regularly there. Not much has changed about the clientele since then. So I guess I'm washing my hands of the place. And I can live a happier and healthier life without it.The thing I like least about the treadmill is that I can't run from my farts. -- Source unknown

Misc full of debate (I use the term loosely) on Gay Marriage/Equality - which to anyone is a no brainer - here in the bone fide Gay Thread - not a whitter. Im half "Fo` Shame!" and half pleased its so simple and sensible a step its not worth discussing but to be done allready!

Good on ya, Jerbs. Be done with that place already.
Misti - no reason for debate over here. Court could go either way on Prop 8, although I think they should strike it down on the basis that you can't take away a right after it's given. I'm thinking DOMA will be struck down for sure, meaning any same sex couples married in states that allow it will also get federal benefits.
The next step will be getting the rest of the states to fall in line. How can somebody be married in Connecticut, move to Florida for a job change, and then suddenly no longer be married?
One step at a time, but we're getting there.

I have a feeling Louisiana and Mississippi (the 2 places I live) will be the last to see any marriage equality...
BUT... I'm going to Houston in a couple weeks to meet with someone about a possible job opportunity with one of the biggest oil producers in the Gulf. I would move to Houston in a heartbeat for this position!!!
