Hey everyone Just a bit of an update I cam out yesterday to my older sister through txt because she doesn't live at home anymore everything was alright and she gave me the courage to tell my mom today who was also very accepting. She just said she is proud of me and all she wants if for me to be happy I feel a bit relieved now, no more huge secretes and a family who can accept me for who I am. Thanks for the help everyone!

Hey guys! I'm back! Attempt #4 to get hot, in about twice as many years. I have a very doable 7-month deadline, which is when my bf and I are going to Australia to stay with his sister (and sight-see) for 5 weeks. His sister lives a half km from the beach ... so yeah, need a decent beach body by then.

I'm now 5 lbs away from my goal weight. YAY! And I've got 4 weeks left in which to reach it. I will be ready for Pride this year.

Meanwhile, preparations for the festivlol at the end of this week are still ongoing. My group is down to 5 people, myself included, and most of 'em haven't attended rehearsal. I just love how people say they want to do a show, but don't attend rehearsals, and then wonder why they can't put it together in 3 or 4 weeks... On the other hand, it might turn out to be very good. I've worked with all these people before and they are fine musicians. Plus they say they are practicing with the CD I gave them. I have even rented a Beefeater costume for the event - we will wear things from our costume box during the performance - and DAMN I look good in it! I have no idea what the weather will be like, or who will be there, or what the sound system is to be. The committee's organizational skills are so bad that they are STILL in the dark about which volunteers are doing what. I guess we'll find out on Saturday!

Had to work the entire holiday weekend, but this is a short week as is next week....I fly to DFW next week for 4 days of meetings (I hear the hotel gym isn't bad...), and then back to Miami for a week, and then we jump on our 8 night cruise.....!!

New pics and stats up (including some very daft pics of me practicing standard poses - Im not anywhere near ready for those to look good - but its practice for better posing and pics) Still not there yet but Im heavy on the cut regime now so watch this space. I think Woody may have to get his wallet ready.

My opera group performs at Pride tomorrow. YAY! I'll bring back stories and pictures, and maybe good news. We are expecting rainy weather and at 11am, not many people will be there. But I'm still excited and I know this will be a good thing for the company. I even bought an advt in the Pride booklet to advertise our next season and find new talent.

I's back from the local Pride. My performance was a success, though not a lot of people actually listened to us. This was mostly due to the people opening the park at 11AM, and our set started at 11AM. Later we suggested to the main guy that the entertainment should start an hour after opening so people can get oriented and walk around and not be still setting up. Those who DID listen enjoyed it and they loved our costumes (see my new avatar for my costume), and they thought the music was quite pretty. Well, of course it was! I wrote two of the songs!



Beyond that, Pride was very dull. Not a lot going on, didn't see many people I knew, nor many guys. Lots of lesbians, though, and allies, but not much else. Saw the ex - with his burrito. I tried to be civil but it wasn't long before I wanted to kill 'em both. We parted company before anything serious happened. Good riddance. You were right, Rick, I can't be friends with this guy.

So I'm home now, and tired, but happy. On to the next show! And the next Pride!

Thanks. We've been dating for about 18 months but busy schedules and a 40-minute drive means most togetherness is on weekends. And with he's job an hour away, even when I move in we may still be a mostly weekends couple for awhile ... honeymoon phase to ramp up?

Hey guys,

Thought I'd say hello. Been lurking these forums a while but never checked in here (I'm more a stay at home, jillian michaels circuit training sort of boy )

Met a few dudes into personal fitness but they were either bro-tards or muscle mary's so have sort of stuck to it on my own. Dropped 35kg's, tried being an anorexic lady gaga twink for a while, then became a hermit :P

Still working towards my goal but it's mostly a balance of enjoying food, booze and liking what I see in the mirror.

Studying I.T at the moment. I ****ing love david attenborough, strategy games, goth rock/metal and war history. That's probably enough of an intro.

Just thought it was cool to see this thread here honestly... It's intimidating enough trying to get in shape, let alone when you're a gay weirdo from the moon. I'm still too awkward to actually go to a gym, but it is probably inevitable after I've hit my next fitness hurdle.

Welcome to the thread. 35kg is impression.

Don't fear the gym. Trust me, most of the people there are far more awkward than you will ever be. Most of the straight guys I know that are gym bunnies are gayer than Xmas. My advice for all gyms is that look for one that is basically dead for when you want to work out. Nothing is worse than fighting for the use of equipment with some big dumb animal.
