Lol I actually like shakes w/ water. Don't get me wrong they are better with milk, but I use water 9/10 times. Maybe I like it so much bc I rarely "indulge" in using milk for them

Everybody has different taste buds man, and I happen to think the Rocky Road is legit. Very unique, and for the price it's awesome IMO.

Put it in oats. The only way I was able to finish off my tubs of the Metaforce stuff was in oats. Oats makes proteins better for whatever reason.

You should've looked in this thread. Both Alwaystrying and I stated that we were not a fan.

I can vouch for San MetaForce RR, it was def. legit, a bit chalky but had a unique taste to it(makes bomb sludge and thick oats, pretty similar to Gaspair in texture IMO), not too chocolately and not too sweet, just about right, but have you tried Vanilla Almond yet?

The rocky road was better than the vanilla almond, but like I said, I wasn't too much of a fan of either. When I get back to bulking, I'll be having quite a bit of proats, though, so I may end up picking up a tub or two of the RR since it is so cheap. 5-6k calories while in grad school will make me cheap ass and it's an easy meal

Oats, chicken, potatoes, protein powder. That'll be about all for most days. Throw in some treats on occasion, but I don't mind keeping it the same for most days.

i wish i had very low fat requirements. srs. fat free froyo and protein powder on the daily
You are not a fragile ornament ready to collapse into an exhausted mass of goo simply because you squatted more than once in a 7-day week.

It'd be like preparing your entire life to bang 100 chicks in a row, getting tan, hitting the gym, making sure your hair looks right and reading the Kama Sutra, only to realize when you get there that you're gay and cannot get hard in the presence of women.

Ah yeah nice, rice and potatoes are cheap enough.

I eat the same meal from 3/5, myself. Often 4/5.
Dinner I do like to change, though. Be it making a rice dish, pasta dish, potato dish or noodle one with the occasional pizza. Enough variety for me there. I just buy chicken and beef, and change sauces/add cheese or not on top of any usual veg.

LOL, trutein is miles better than XT, i'm all about value too but trutein just towers over XT, tried all XT flavors except blueberry, trutein even provides better thickness than XT even though XT is a straight casein (trutein is a mix of a lot of blends)

xt is a blend. its primarily soy with soy casein and whey.

Trutein tastes better than xt, I've tried every flavor of xt and a few of tru for what it's worth. Not sure it's worth the extra cash though

Ha, you know me mate - since you recommended XT to me circa 2010, I've never actually not had a tub on hand

Got 2 x Fudge Brownie and 2 x Vanilla atm.

I've just heard so many great things about this choc peanut butter cup and it's back in stock with the Aussie supplier so want to give it a shot.

Do also want to give Dymatize's casein a go too.

Tried Banana Cream Trutein? It has taken over for Chocolate-Covered Banana and I give it the upper hand.

How come so many people seem to be going with Trutein and Elite XT? I've checked the profiles and they're pretty low in protein (both less than 70g per 100g of powder), with Trutein also being really expensive. Is it just that you prefer the taste so much more over stuff like, say, ON's Gold Standard or Dymatize Elite Whey?

Every flavor of Trutein has 24-25g of protein per 34g scoop, so it's going to be slightly over 70g per 100g of powder. It also tastes phenomenal, and has a thicker consistency than purely whey due to the casein and egg, making it better for cooking/sludge/oats. The price of Trutein is similar (or cheaper at some places ) than the products you mentioned. Elite XT is cheaper everywhere, and I also find it to be thicker and more delicious than your preferences. Give them a try and see for yourself

Hmm, it seems three of them have 23g, one has 24g and one has 25g. But alright, let's say it's 70g per 100g I think for now I'm sticking with those two, but I guess if everyone's recommending the taste, it might be a worthy consideration if I ever decide to change. I just know I always feel bad buying whey (or protein powder) with less than around 75g protein per 100g, don't know why. I figure if I'm buying a protein supplement, the more the better.

So you'd rather eat crap taste that deal with ~2grams less protein per scoop?
