What day of the week do you schedule a refeed or "cheat meal"?

This is my first ever cut and I've done well so far, but I've been giving mysel a "cheat meal" once a week usually on Sunday afternoons to maintain sanity. I normally just split a large pizza with my girlfriend, nothing out of control. I usually wont eat anything up until the meal because I'm at work, and I usually not hungry until I go to bed where I'll just have a casein protein shake. I was thinking about switching mine to Saturdays because I usually train legs Saturday morning then I'll do about 30 minutes on the elliptical. Would this be better or does it not matter?

    Thanks for the help!

You can have a cheat meal whenever you want, bro. This ain't a morality contest, just eat foods you enjoy in the right portions. The timing issue doesn't matter either.

Current way of doing things is just a maintence, or close to day with readjusting macros for more carbs but it's only when I really need it if energy gets too low.

If you are staying loyal to a "cheat meal" once a week opposed to a cheat day, then eat whatever you want man. Some would say it would be ideal to have it before your workout so it can be burned off, but I would say indulge and enjoy.

Ya I was thinking of switching to Saturdays then hittin the gym after, as opposed to Sunday's then laying around after. This was kind of my point.

I'm in the midst of contest prep and I take my cheat meal on saturday night. I like it scheduled and honestly it keeps me 100% on my diet all week knowing I get that one single cheat. I do it on saturday night, the day I do leg day. I also am doing 60 minutes on the stair stepper that day. So hell I wouldn't doubt I'm burning 800 calories on the stair stepper and 400 during the workout so it is a brutal, brutal day of energy expendeture. It is a great day for me to pound down a 3,000 calorie cheat meal.

speaking of the cheat this past saturday was a 2 pound deli sandwich I made inspired the 2.5 pounder eaten on man verse food. Couldn't quite eat the 2 pounds. But then I hate 1/2 a confetti cake and 2/3 bag of baked fries before almost puking so all was good.

I would suggest having a cheat meal as a post workout meal, so the nutrients the cheat meal could be absorbed better by the body as a post workout meal

I don't really consider myself scheduling cheat meals or days, I put in the effort to incorporate foods I enjoy into my macros for each day. on the occasions I consider myself having a cheat meal its in a social event like a party so usually a rest day.

best advice i can give is hit the gym hard the next day and don't dwell

we get a fast food meal for lunch every Saturday...thats about it each week for cheat meal. Only do it that way because M-FR is pretty routine and planned out.

I make mine every Friday or Saturday night. If my friends are wanting to go out on Saturday then I'll save it til then. Otherwise on Friday I'll go through a double quarter pounder and 20 nuggets. My fave food! I better stop now cause I"m thinkin about it....
