Hi I have been reading alot of logs for sports and I am dedicated and decided to make one. I'm 14 and play defensive back and I am going to be a freshmen next year. I plan to be faster, stronger, and more agile. Enjoy! P.s. Goals and current lifts are in my signature

Subbed, good luck with with this bro I've been waiting for a defensive back workout for long, I don't play American football but the skills needed are similar to my position in Rugby. Who's your fav db? For me it Patrick Peterson/Ed Reed/Tyrann Mathieu. Sorry for blabbing on but I'm looking forward to this. Also how tall are you?

Hi,
Good luck with your goals. What you might find as you're young and seem to be pretty small is that you won't get big quickly. But trust me if you concentrate on strength as your goal now, you can bulk easier when you've got through your growth spurts. Also, handling skills are key. Practice hard on them in training. Getting a clutch interception on your own 5 yard line to stop a certain touchdown then going the length of the field. There won't be a better feeling.
And remember something, if you practice at only 90% then you'll only play at 90% max."Rugby is a good occasion for keeping thirty bullies far from the centre of the city."

Bench 95x8, 115x6, 135x4 (got 2 reps at 135 others were assisted), squat 135x8, 155x6, 185x4, incline 85x8 95x6 115x4 (got 2 by myself) and we didn't have time to military and deadlift so we ran bleachersx6... I don't know we have alot of good kids at our school and at the other middle school we combine when we go to high school so there is going to be competition that's why I'm working my a$$ off. The other middle schools team went 6-1 and we went 1-6. Pretty sad and we beat the worst team 22-18 and the other middle school beat them 40-0 and the other middle beat us 57-0. So yeah you see I gotta work my a$$ off brah!

Lol damn, pretty bad record. For my school in rugby I think we went 8 - 2 or something, got to the semi finals in two cups, so we did pretty good. Our best year was in yr 7 when we were ranked like 10th best in south east England and you keep working hard, it'll pay off!

Rested yesterday and resting today as well. Starting back up tomorrow. I do upper body and a speed workout tomorrow. I cannot wait for Tuesday I start my personal football training for defensive back. The guy that is training me played college football and his brother was quarterback for a college (not going to say). Anyways: yesterday I practiced catching caught alot of passes and dropped a few. Terrible day felt so weak I did alot of bench press today but not going to even list what happened. It was just one of those days. For speed I did lots of cone drills, proper shuttle runs with perfect
form, back pedal drills, defensive back stuff, and lots of 5,10,15 yard sprints. Lots of other stuff. Tomorrow I do legs and start my football training and I am preparing for a combine soon so I'm also training for that.
