Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

That's probably an overstatement already. Even on this board most people who claim a 250lbs bench couldn't move half that much.

I'd say that it might be less than that, like 5%. There are alot of really strong guys out there but I think you need to bet used to pushing weight on a bar, the technique etc. Just cause someone could bench 200lbs+, doesn't mean that they are stronger than 90% of guys. Someone who works hard labour is probably really strong, just not with a barbell etc.

Considering how many people can't even do a pushup it's not surprising.

The average, every day man could not lift that! 200lbs is like 91kg.
But as for people who train on a regular basis for the past few years, then that 10% statement would not be true.Quadzilla!

does that mean 1 time?
Cause I couldnt bench 200lbs 5 months ago, but I just did 225 X 1 last week.
pretty unimpressive on this board but i dont care, i'm proud.TYIA

that sounds fairly accurate to me if out of all men since most dont lift on a regular basis.

Bench press works muscles that, for most people, are not used in their everyday lives. So I suspect that 10% number might be a little high but it depends on the sample group. What age are we talking here?
Also it's good to be in that 10%Many of life's failures are men who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
