I'd imagine it would be pretty tough to do considering the difficulty right now applying for OTS.
What's your rate? Assuming you're LTJG. Some jobs are accepting more than others, just like enlisted side. I'd say if you have a technical degree (engineering, comp sci, etc.) it would be easier than if you were a master basket weaver.3D072 - Cyber Systems Operations

Back when I worked on the U-2 "spy plane", one of our pilots was a former Naval pilot. I believe he was selected to switch to AF to fly the U-2 cause he was that damn good. Not sure on how he went about doing it though, sorry.
Going to my promotion ceremony tomorrow, sewing on in a week finally! All others ftw.

Yeah, we have blue to green as well, but I am not currently aware of a "blue to blue?" program. Your best bet is hitting up a recruiter. With economics you could definitely do finance or something similar, or put your name in the hat for one of the general studies officer slots like intel, mx, etc.

You going to work on your masters after? Mx is a joke... I look at all the NCO/snco packages that go up for awards and 20% have school... Mostly CCAF, some with stuff towards a bacherlors. So thats why I've been deep into school to set us apart. All those ones with school are usually the winner

Yea, I want to set myself up for when I get out. I don't want to be one of these crusty civilians I work with, 50+ years old still turning wrenches.
I don't think they offer that degree, I will definitely look into it though, sounds like a lucrative career awaits if I have that degree

You'll be fine dude. I know it's probably been difficult to get your degree with all those tdys/deployments you've been on.
I'm doing my bachelors in occupational safety and health and then I'll do my masters in environmental. Game on $★cVc★

got ****ed out of BTZ...
I had a volunteer deployment to Afghanistan and Honor Guard while deployed, 150 USO volunteer hours...etc
My supervisor wrote the worst package ever seen, I was on leave when it was submitted and never saw it until after the fact.
Still plotting my revenge...

I didn't do "honor guard" per se when I was deployed, but we did help the Marine detachment with the transfer ceremonies of all of the fallen that came through. Flag covered caskets, lots of them, it was pretty heart wrenching
And yes, I've been writing my own EPRs and such for about a decade now. I can usually write them better than most of these idiots in maintenance
