I'm probably in the minority here, but if the SRB is your only motivating factor to re-enlist, then oh well, you can get out, that's your choice. I'm a big fan of money, but it shouldn't be a deciding factor in the re-enlistment process. Can you get out and make more money (such as in contracting), then go ahead, more power to you, I hope you make tons of cash......but in today's AF with budget constraints as they are, complaining about not getting your $90K bonus just to stay in the military is asinine

I'm inclined to agree with this. Also, I got 2 bonuses and know I won't get anymore because there will likely never be a Zone C bonus for my AFSC. With that said, I would have stayed in regardless, an SRB was just icing on the cake. I'm assuming this will only be in effect until they cut down 20% of our Air Force over the next few years and then they'll bring it back along with the NCORP in full force.

Saw dude in the hospital. Joking and smiling the whole time despite three shattered bones and an exit wound the size of a persons fist. Saw pics of him and another dude waiting for a medevac after they got shot. Just sitting next to a humvee, smiling, throwing up the deuces. Fu**ing ALPHA."Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back."

We may be losing re-enlistment chit, but the AF treats it's people right when it counts. Did a med evac from Bagram to Ramstein yesterday. 10 med crew, roughly 12 man hours each. 4 air crew with 18 man hours each. Plus the fact that they cancelled a mission to free up a jet for him. Plus the 15k fuel an hour with 7 flight hours each way. All for 1 guy. Merica mother ****ers.
Happy Thanksgiving.Last edited by F2.; 11-28-2013 at 04:13 AM.

Had to google that. Not sure to be honest. All I know is that the patient had a heart attack, and it was 10 med crew that flew with us. Not sure if they fall under that specific team though.
A few cute airman walked out with the patient and I thought "****, shoulda went medical". Then I heard them chirping and squealing orders around, and that reminded me how much I hate working with females.

If cardiac, it had to be a CCATT. CCATTs transport all cardiac patients as well as the critically injured. Also, when you've got a medical crew that large, you can almost be certain that it is CCATT. AE (Aeromedical Evacuation) teams are 5 member teams and transport the patients requiring intermediate care. CCATTs (3 member team) attach to AE teams for missions involving critical patients.
In a CCATT mission, the CCATT physician runs the show in terms of patient care, but the AE MCD (Medical Crew Director/Flight Nurse) runs the show in terms of logistics. The AE MCD is likely the one you heard "chirping and squealing" orders.
Fun missions to fly; can get pretty intense in the back of the aircraft sometimes. CCATT RT checking in...

Ah, that would make sense. We had lt colonel's on that aero med and the one we did today, but a captain was the mcd. Today's had 3 patients, but I don't know what was wrong. They sat in the sidewall seats and the med crew laid on the litters lol. I imagine with more patients it does get crazy, but there is no sense in screaming as much as they do for a few non critical patients. The patients won't be here for an hour, getting your luggage on is not that big of a deal people.

Here's one I don't understand....
I got my "special trip" issue stuff a few days ago and I got stuff like "pilots gloves", my 8th pair of tan boots and my 5th backpack. brb MX needs pilots gloves.
I told them "no thanks jeff, I don't need backpacks, boots, coveralls, etc, I have more than enough of this stuff."
They told me to shut up and color, I am getting all of it because I need it. I walked out with $3K worth of ****, most of which I already have.★cVc★

It usually is a captain that acts as the MCD. They tend to take their job very seriously-sometimes, too seriously... I understand I'm not supposed to stand during takeoff/landing, but if my patient requires some form of immediate care during that exact moment, I don't need to hear the MCD yelling at me to sit down.
Thanks bro. Happy Thanksgiving!

I used my pair to do 1 upload, and they didn't even resemble a pair of gloves after flipping rollers. I went straight to our supply guy after that mission and got some mx gloves. Even with the leather mx gloves they only last a month or so.
Brah, riddle me this, why the fuq do yall do the whole "prepare to lift....lift" stuff for just picking up a 5 pound box. Me and the other load were sitting in the back trying our best not to bust out laughing while they were loading their stuff. Also, why do you use 8 people to move a litter? I'm sorry, but common sense tells me that that many people is only making it more dangerous for the patient, especially seeing as they were tripping over each others feet.

LOL! The Prepare to lift... Lift is beaten into AE hard. I don't do it for anything but lifting litters w/ heavy equipment or patients. In regards to 8 people moving a litter, I've never seen that. It should be 4 people, maximum 6, moving a litter. The only reason to even consider having more than 6 people on a litter is when lifting it into a bus, ambulance, etc. The problem is that everyone wants to get involved; if they touch the litter, it turns into being a key participant in the care of a wounded warrior on their EPR.
