5K (pocket) a month non flyer crew checking in

lucky bastards. I'm going to go s some d in my squadron next week, so that hopefully I can get down range before the month is up. gotta get my tax free for the month

Marriotts never disappoint. I've only been to 1 Sheraton, but it was waaaaaay overpriced for what you got.

I'd say it depends on job availability and how many jobs you listed, along with a lot of other factors that you can't control. I only waited 3 months because they offered my job to someone else and that person turned it down, so I got the job. I only listed like 6 jobs, but their was a guy at my recruiting office who listed 30+ because he wanted to ship quickly. What kind of jobs did you list?

Yelled at a chief today for not keeping the printer stocked with paper. I tried to print off some personal stuff on a work computer and the ****ing thing was out of paper. So I grabbed the chief by his sleeve and chewed him out for not doing his job, and threatened him with an LOR. Felt good man.

Have you researched jobs heavily? You're missing out on a lot of great careers/career fields. Look into aircrew, intel, fire protection, etc. Just a few ideas. I'd add jobs to your list. Getting a medical job is very very unlikely, you'll get open general before getting a medical slot.

I have, but i was never expecting to get a guaranteed job before basic. Im not a US citizen yet so my job list was very limited

It doesn't work like that silly dep'r. You put down how ever many jobs he tells you to, and then you take what ever comes down first that's on your list. Turning down a job you put down is an auto dismissal from dep.

in the past, you could just sit on DEP until your 1 job came up.... that's how i did it. but now, the AF doesn't need people so, yeah, good luck with that now.

I will be joining the Air Force around summer 2014, i have a few questions
I got a GED and 9 college credits,can i join or do i need the 15? (either way i start school in 2 weeks to get the 6i need)
Will getting Security Forces help me get a job as a police officer when i retire? or any job in the military help me , because i want to be either SF,or Load Master other jobs too but these are my top 2
