They are used (very good condition) but they are new to me!
Now obviously at $1 a pound, the deal wasn't as good as many of you have found on Craigslist but I liked them so I bought them.
Seven 45lbs plates
Three 35lbs plates
Two 25lbs plates
Unfortunately, I missed out on a couple of 5lbs and 10lbs plates and a third 25lb plate.

Well worth the money spent !

Yeah, Im not one to care what others say but you know how it is, lots of people tend to be negative and enjoy peeing in people's corn flakes.
I would like to get at least one more 45 and 35 but eventually I'll try to get three of each to make it an even ten (45s) and six (35lbs).
Thanks! They are a little dusty but other than that, they are in great condition.
Thanks, I agree. I've been looking at getting a good set of plates for a while. For the most part, Craigslist has turned up nothing but standard plates or no name rusty plates listed too expensive.
Thanks but they aren't bumper plates. They are rubber/urethane encased plates. Down the line, I would like to get some bumper plates but for now, I'll have to do without them.
That's what these are. Well either rubber or urethane. I don't know how to tell the difference.
Speaking of which, does anyone know how to tell if they are rubber or urethane?

Urethane has a pretty hard dense feel. For instance, you couldnt stick your fingernail into urethane covered plates or dumbbells. Rubber plates definately have a softer feel but for some reason not quite as soft on dumbbells. For home gym applications, rubber is plenty strong enough and I actually prefer it. To further confuse us, some companies offer two different types of urethane. CPU and TPU I think. CPU is more durable and harder to work with and is therefore, more expensive.
