In front..
No added benefits doing it behind, other than screwing up your rotator cuffs/other shoulder injuries..Driven Sports Craze Review: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=144676431

People on these forums love to demonize BTN presses just about as much as false grip bench presses
Does BTN put more stress on your shoulders than in front? Yes. Will you injure your RCs by doing BTN? Maybe. Should you never do BTN? Not necessarily.
Given you have the requisite shoulder flexibility, you can go BTN if you want. However, if you don't have a strong preference for one over the other, I suggest you stick to keeping the bar in front of you.The more that you read, the more things you'll know.
The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.

The are both beneficial for building muscle.
Personally, I don't think the risk vs reward warrants you doing behind the neck presses.
You will be able to build noticeable size and strength doing presses in front and they will be less likely to injure your shoulders.Team MuscleTech Rep

I do both, but I go heavy in front, and after I finish all my sets infront I cut the weight down and do about 2-3 sets BTN.

Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health.
And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present;
the result being that he does not live in the present or the future;

One day, if you learn how to do BTN Presses correctly, let us know how it feels.
Meanwhile, I can tell you that I prefer BTN over front because it isolates the delts more (much less pec involvement) and it hits the medial head more (not all the stress is on the anterior). However, you MUST use the appropriate ROM (don't lower the bar below your ear-lobes) and don't go too heavy (no lower than 8 reps).
And for those who are afraid of getting RC injuries: strengthen your RC. Just like anything else. Do the internal/external rotations, etc. Jim Cordova has some good RC exercises in his shoulder video.

I do both. As mentioned make sure your shoulders are flexible is you choose to do BTN. I personally think doing BTN is a great way to build mass. When doing regular shoulder press you incorporate your upper chest and tris much more than when you do BTN.
BTN gets a bad rap, I do them on the plate loaded machine to prevent any injury and they help keep me flexible and have significantly built my shoulders up over the years. Do them correctly and they're great.MET-Rx/Pure Protein Board Rep

Which ever feels best for you. If I ever press I do BTN, feels more natural.

Q for behind-neck pressing critics:
What if you keep your elbows in front of you and lower the bar behind neck through a massive increase in elbow flexion? Kind of like almost becoming triceps overhead extension?
Might limit you to less weight than even those extensions but at least it seems shoulder (if not elbow) healthy.
