Just going to through some cliff notes out there, responses from experianced PTs is what I'm looking for, not some college kid who just rolled out of bed and took his 24hr fitness test...
-Been working out since HS, ectomorph, finally hit 200lbs after years of being stuck @ 185ish
-Play basketball 3-4 times a week, take it serious for a recreational player
-Want to focus on flexibility, jumping, explosive, characteristics to build onto a basketball player. Physique goal somewhere like Terrell Owens (in his prime) would be my dream body, I understand that he is a freak of nature..
-Feel like I've hit a plateau, like I'm not really shocking my muscles anymore
Questions:
1. I am looking for an advanced, above average trainer. I am not a fat suburban white lady with no drive, I want someone who knows his/her **** to the tee, and will give me results. I have no issue with motivating myself, or staying focused. If someone shows me the correct way to achieve my results I want, I will do exactly as instructed and motivate myself. How do I know if the trainer is capable of this? What do I look for? What questions do I ask? Does it matter if they were a previous athlete or not?
2. Pricing....I understand if I want an above average trainer, I will have to pay for it, and I am fine with that, within reason of course. From my description of what I am looking for, how many sessions/price should I be expected to looking at to obtain my goals? What dictates this? Am i looking for someone with certain certificates, etc?
Thanks for your time, also if you are as described trainer in the 562/714 area of So Cal feel free to shoot me a PM giving me details of what you bring to the table, pricing, etc. Attached pic so you can see body type I am if that matters..

Find a good local strength and conditioning coach who has a reputation for developing/building good players, not inheriting freaks, and ask him/her to coach you individually, or if your focus is on physique, find a top judge/competitor at a local BB show, ask them who trained/prepped the and hire them.
