    PT with Ipad

    Hi guys

    As a new personal trainer i was wondering what you thinks if your PT Used a ipad during session to track progress , meal plans ect with the use of graphs and other modern technologi ( can also use the camera to film good or poor technique ect )

    Any time looking at a screen is less time looking at the client, who is after all paying you for your attention.

    It also looks bad to the rest of the gym, since they can't tell the difference between your taking notes on the session, and text messaging your buddies, surfing youtube, etc. And the rest of the gym is your potential clientele.

    I recommend against it.
    Elite coaching is about getting the last 5% out of a person's performance, personal training is about getting the first 50%.

    Written journal for sessions, transfer to hard data after sessions. Takes 2 minutes. 6-8 sessions a day, extra 15 minutes to put into computer.
