Thanks, guys!
I hadn't previously seen close up photos of these plates. There appear to be some differences between them and the early and modern Ivanko branded "m series" plates. Maybe a different casting as well as differences in finishing the plates. The machining is hard to see because of the age and use. One big difference that I've noticed is that the older plates don't seem to have any filler. It's good that Ivanko fills in the plates for consistency/accuracy but it's even better when filler isn't necessary. They appear to have a very clean casting.
Out of all those plates you found one! That's ""RARE. VTG. HTF."[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #32 []---[] ()---() York Barbell Club #43 ()---() ▉---▉ Equipment Crew #50 ▉---▉

I will take a look and see if I can find some examples for photos. Unfortunately, I didn't take photos of some of the clearest examples that I've seen. It's most obvious when it's done poorly and they usually do a good job but sometimes there are some slip ups. I've seen a few of those slip ups but I cherry picked other plates. When it's done well it's difficult to notice but it's typically smoother than the surrounding iron.

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Make her jump some more - they will come out eventually!
I actually have a pair of the 10s and they look identical. They came with a complete set that a got from an individual in Atlanta (cheap chrome Ivanko bar). They were the only ones in the set that are M series, but it looks like the set came that way from Ivanko.
You can't see the machining on my 10s because there really isn't any. The only difference in these plates and all the others is the markings on the back and machining on the outside of the rim. The older plates have filing marks at the base of the rim (closet to the back of the plates) to clean up that part of the castings.
I believe Healthnut complained about one or a couple of his revolvers due to a poor application of the filler. Or he may have just been complaining that they had filler (I don't think he was aware that they used filler when he purchased them).

I couldn't find an obvious example. I think this example is acceptable although it could have been a little bit more flush or maybe even sanded. I think this is what Ivan meant by "blended". In my opinion this isn't a big deal. Whatever void it fills is probably pretty small.
The few examples that I thought were unacceptable were more obvious. For example, one plate had a bubble inside the center hole and the void was stuffed with a round ball of filler that didn't completely fill it. In my opinion, a casting defect like that should have been culled. I've only seen one that bad and a few others that I also thought should be culled.
