Anybody have ideas on taking the end caps off an ivanko bar? I've tried my 3 different ways but non works....possibly its rusted onto the sleeves itself and will take alot more work.

Everyone says to thread the hole and pull it out with a bolt.

Instead of pulling on the bolt, I bet if you got a longer bolt you could just keep threading it in until it bottoms out and then keep going to press the cap off.

Tx. I had these for few months now except for OB-84 which was bought this week.

I traded my OBS-20KG which was bought used for York milled plates ( USA stamped ) and 80's split sleeve bar (which is under restoration) + cash. It was great bar which can be bought anytime though.

After group buy of round 2, I should have decent amount iron revolvers and some CBP 5 kg plates. Man, I have been lurking on this forum for at least 7 to 8 years on and off . But I thought most of the guys here were crazy as I was under the impression that weight is weight but only last year I decided to try to upgrade and experiment with so called commerical or real weight equipment.

Cheapo thread helped a lot but once I started to use some real equipment I got hooked. Using OBS-20kg and Rogue comp bumpers "sealed" the deal.

I am now hunting for DD plates ( York or Ivanko) . I tired unbranded Ivanko 25lb plate at one of the forum members gym and man they are nice (Sunlight to candle light difference). Iron plates will be either York or Ivanko.

Last of my SA authority plates will be gone this weekend.

Not much of story but just 4 hours drive (2 hours each way). It was pretty straight forward.

Btw, the orange marks on one of the collars came off with a gentle scrub with brass wire brush with a drop of WD40.

are the chrome the same as the bronze, just in chrome? or is it the one with the tbolt?

Total of 542.5lbs as there was only one 2.5lb plate

6 45's, 4 35's, 4 25's ( 2 of them not ivanko), 2 10' , 2 5's and 1 2.5.


In the second pic the 45 plate was picked up separately.
