Here are some shots of the backs of mine, first pic is a 25 and the second is a 45. The others are the 25's after a wire wheel and coat of mineral oil.
I'm still not 100% sure if these are Ivanko, but I feel like as long as I post them in the Ivanko Barbell Crew Thread it makes them have that much more credibility....

Other than the script, the castings look very similar to mine.
Is the diameter of the front of the plate the same as the back? If you stack two plates with the inner hubs facing up, are the profiles uniform like coins, or are the bottom of the plates bigger, requiring a slight step up to get from the front of the bottom plate to the back of the top plate?▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #39 ▪█─────█▪

Up until a few weeks ago I really didn't have strong feelings for it. The chest fly portion is intense, especially with a slow rep cadence. With that said it does have some noticeable friction, it's not as "snappy" as I would like it to be....but the burn is still there. Up until a few weeks ago I really wasn't crazy about the push portion of it. When pushing with my elbows by my sides I didn't feel like I got a good pump in my lower chest. So I started toying with it the other day and found that if I let my elbows flare instead of keeping them tight my lower chest feels it immediately. I also hold the grips with a thumbs down grip. I'm not sure if the form I just described is biomechanically safe, but for me it took doing it this way to get the proper feel. So...after that long response, to answer your question yes I am liking the double chest now.

I've still got mine taken apart in the garage and don't have room for it yet in the gym. When I tried it before unloading it, I liked the fly portion, but didn't care for the press motion. I've been debating on whether on not to try and sell it or just scrap it for the metal. Sounds like it could be a piece that might grow on me, so I should probably at least put it together in the garage and use it some there before making a decision.

I have a set exactly like that, amongst mostly cheaper plates, and I was trying to figure out what they are because they are nicer than the others that I have been selling. The rims are very wide and deep on them. Hopefully someone can figure them out. Thanks for posting these.

I have finally got my hands on some Ivanko gear. Pro style DB set 15-160. Only have up to 135 moved into the gym though so far. I got a question for you Ivanko guys. When I was selling something the other day a kid spotted some Ivanko 1 1/4 compression clamps and got really excited. He seemed like a straight shooter and just spent a lot of money with me so I asked him what they were worth. He said he had just paid $50 for a set. I have another set and wanted to know if the kid pulled a fast one on me or if they are in that price range.
I made progress since this picture. All I have left is the bottom right shelf for the 140-160. My back is destroyed from moving these from my warehouse entirely by myself over the last few days.
Nothing is impossible.

Those collars are around $50 new in Chrome, I do not think they sell the black oxide anymore. I hooked up a few members with a guy who was selling some for $20 a pair.

Gym is looking awesome by the way.

The Ivanko web page shows a retail of $33.50
http://www.ivankobarbell.com/products/cot125/
However, that must not include shipping because Gtechfintess.com is selling them for $46 with shipping included

Of course, you can't get the black oxides any more, so if I were selling them I would want more than the new price.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #39 ▪█─────█▪

The COT 11/4, sometimes designated as 1.25, in black oxide is discontinued. They came with the OBZB-20 black oxide curl bar as well as being sold separately. They are awesome.
You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

I've also seen old plates from Cap and Marcy that were machined. The greenish colored Cap plates have much finer machining that's more similar to Ivanko. The holes were machined also. The paint on those plates is really thick like a shell and chips in big chunks and peels almost as if it were laminated instead of painted. I thought about buying some and repainting them but stripping the original paint would be a lot of work since it's so thick. The paint on those black plates is much more reasonable. Is the hole machined? The machined Marcy plates were a bit rougher. The new Cap and Marcy plates certainly aren't as refined. I think it's a shame. But most folks don't seem to mind so it makes sense for Cap and Marcy to cut corners on the new plates. Some of the other commercial plates, such as the wide flange premium plates from Troy, are machined on all sides. I don't know how the machining compares since I've only seen the rubber coated Troy plates.
I doubt the old Cap plates are made in the same foundries.
we require our foundries to make plates exclusively for Ivanko under our control — so that sloppy procedures for competitive plates do not spill over into our process.

The chrome spin collar (old style) I don't remember seeing I don't know when that was made. I did find a small crate of these collars in what I think was the original black. They've got a leather lining. I also have them in a C-3 size (for 1-1/16") bars. Obviously the compression ring superseded in some sense this design. I'll try to put them up on the site at some point. Maybe I can offer a few pairs as a freebie in some contest or something.
Re: banners. We've made a few in the old arm style. Black on white. Original David P Willoughby artwork. If there's a demand, I can offer them at cost.
Re: time when we switched to grey/green. I don't remember exact date. 90's sometime I think. It was a mistake in the paint. But some seemed to like it. And then everyone (or a lot of companies at least) copied it. The blind leading the blind, apparently. Original color was black I think, then the the grey-black hammertone. My favorite color. I wish I had a set. Might be something sitting around somewhere.
I also have one of the very first original products we made: a 14 ga. tubular EZ-Curl bar for regular plates. We wanted 14 ga. because at the time, everyone was using 16 ga. And the foundry in the US wouldn't do it. So we had to do it ourselves. The cast-iron collar for that costs I think 9c to make. So the story goes. We still have some of that original old stock of the curl bars.
A lot of those 70's castings were really amazing work. Esp. compared to what else was being offered at the time.()---() York Barbell Club #50 ()---()
