With a line of 11,541 red chairs, one for each victim of the siege of Sarajevo, Bosnia on Friday remembered when war broke out 20 years ago and the West dithered in the face of the worst atrocities in Europe since World War Two.

I met a guy who had to survive there locked in the city for months. To all the people who make fun of "preppers". Obviously people you see on the shot doomsday preppers take it too far, but having a working knowledge of how to be self sufficient and always a backup and SHTF plan is a very good idea. He saw people literally starve to death and tons more.

And the US conducted air strikes, as well as dropped food in every week. He said he never would have survived if it wasn't for the US dropping food in. And he also said many people died each time because everyone wanted to be greedy.

Sarajevo(my city, the capital) was under siege for almost 4 years, on april 6th we regained freedom

have to remember also a very touchy situation for the west...this area was just emerging from the soviet bloc and was not really "western" at the moment. Had been behind the iron curtain a year before this war started...
