    A Cellucor Hodgepodge

So... You saw this thread and decided to stop in. Was it the clever thread title that caught you eye? Or maybe you've heard of Cellucor products, but you want to learn more. Whatever you reason is, you're here and I'm about to get huge with the help of gerge and a few Cellucor supplements.

Big gerge was way generous. I sincerely thank him for sending me Chocolate Super Sport Protein, P6, and the new Cellucor shaker cup.

I've use several Cellucor products in the past I've always had great results. That's why I'm so excited about this opportunity. Most recently, Super HP played a big part in my successful cut phase. I lost a lot of strength in the past 12 weeks with a serious cut, so I'm ready to get that strength back along with the size. I'll develop my goals very soon. Right now, I just want to get to the point where I don't cringe when I see the skeleton in the mirror everyday. I might be adding a couple more cellucor supplements to this stack. I have a coupon for Vitamin Shoppe, so why not? I've used NO3 before and I LOVED it, so I might look into that again. I'll update my stack if/when that happens.

Here are some before pictures. Hopefully I'll revisit these pictures in a couple months and laugh.

I apologize for the horrible photo quality. It's hard by yourself, and my camera blows. But it'll do.

Two things... First off, I just noticed that I misspelled "hodgepodge" in the thread title. I'll admit to being a horrible speller, but that was just a silly mistake. Does anyone happen to know if there is a way to edit the title? I know it's not a big deal, but I'll be updating this thread almost every day, and it's going to bother me every single time I see it.

The other thing I wanted to add was some intro stats for myself.

As of this morning at 7:00am, I weigh 197. That official ends my cut phase. I'd like to bulk back up to about 210 and maintain. Shouldn't be too hard with these supps I got in my corner now. As far as my current strength, I don't even know exactly how strong I am. I should say "how weak I am." This cutting phase was very successful as far as my weight loss goes, but I lost ALL my strength too! I wasn't planning on neglecting the weights so much, but I was in a "biggest loser" competition at my work (which I won!). In 12 weeks, I went from 237 to 196. It's the first time I every officially cut, so I'm happy with my weight, but like I keep saying, my strenght is way down. 12 weeks ago, I was benching 245x12. I felt like I was on the brink of busting a huge PR in the bench when I started the weight loss competition. I know it will take me a while to get all my strength back, but I'm excited to excited to get started on that uphill journey.

I'll be happy to answer any questions anyone has about my observations of the cellucor products I'm using throughout this log. and I'm very willing to accept advice. I feel pretty confident with my knowledge when training, but I understand that someone always knows more. So feel free to ask and tell.

I don't do a lot of food pics but since the camera was already out, I'll throw this up. Nothing fancy. Egg Beaters with some chicken and hotsauce. Toast with sunflower butter.

It did the job, but like I said, nothing special.

Whoa... 40% off and no shiping costs? That's a great deal indeed. The thing I love about Cellucor is when you look at their lineup, you're like a kid in a candy store. Such a long list of great products.

I took my first two caps of P6 this morning. It's been a while since I've been on a test booster, so I'm curious to see what I can do with it. I'm sure it will take at least a week to kick in. I'm excited to play around with the protein. Smoothies/shakes are my usual usage, but I wonder if it would be good in pancakes or crepes. We'll see.

yes sir, I love making a protein cake out of it! Secret recipe by Z Gerge!! good stuff. Im sorry you got the chocolate again, I know you wanted a vanilla, and I tried sending you one, I guess the shipping guys were out of vanilla at the time. ill have to send you a small bag so you can atleast try it! I do know that we sell 3 times as much chocolate though. so we dont produce as much vanilla.

The sale is awesome, and I have a feeling its gonna end pretty soon, haha. IDK why, but its been up for a good 2 or 3 weeks atleast!

I still get excited every time I look at our line up, haha. Its all shiny and "chromey" its just amazing!!

The P6 should be kicking in pretty soon. remember its 2 in the morn. 2 at night! Time to get swole my friend!

200 bucks... straight into my wife's purse! What the?! No I'm just kidding. I'm going to set it aside and open an account for my lasic surgery. I'm so sick of wearing glasses.

I don't have my macros figured out. I'm not really doing a bulk... Although I do want to bulk up a bit. So I guess it IS a bulk phase, just not as crazy bulkish as my long winter bulk. The last 12 weeks were pretty low carbs. No dairy at all. Low sugar. I'm hoping that if I allow myself to eat dairy a bit more, the "bulk" will come naturally. Went out to lunch today and ate probably 2500 cals in one meal, so I'm off to a good start! That was just a big celebratory cheat meal since I won the contest. My buddies were funny about it. The ones who didn't enter the contest were like, "200 bucks is all you won?!" You killed yourself for the past 12 weeks for half a day's pay?! I would have given you 200 bucks not to do it so we could have gone out drinking a few times over the past 12 weeks." But it was the competitor in me that wanted to do it. I wanted to win. Anyway, about the macros. I'm not a big calory counter, so maybe you can offer some advice. I usually just eat more when I'm trying to gain, and less when I'm trying to lose. I know it's not the best strategy, but for my goals, it works.

Good luck, Bro! As far as your macros...yes, it's important to know your carb/fat/protein intake if you're really trying to make a serious bulk/cut. I, on the other hand, really just try to eat smart. If I know it's unhealthy, I'll try not to eat it. If there is a healthier option, I take it! Just some food for thought (pun intended).

Right on E! Thanks for being here. It's been a while since I've run a log. Feels good. Tomorrow will be my first official work under the influence of R6 and SuperSport. What a better way to start things off than an arms workout.

I see you're doing well in your log! You just keep getting stronger and bigger.

Oopsy Doopsy... I never was very good with numbers and letters. I'll start watching sesami street with my 2 year old so I don't get confused again about the names. Sorry about that Gergy-boy.

Anywho... I had my first lifting session of this log this morning and it was solid. I gotta ease back into the intensity that I was at before my cut, but with these supplements in my system, it won't take long. Here are the numbers:

    Arms

    straight bar curls: 3x10 (70lbs)

    skull crushers: 3x10 (80lbs)

    Dips: 3x15 (bw)

    Seated machine curls: 3x10 (70lbs)

    rope tri pushdowns: 3x12 (120lbs)

Preacher curls contraption: 3x12 (60lbs) (see workout notes)

    DB forearm curls:
    wrists up: 3xfailure (15lbs)
    wrists down: 3xfailure (25lbs)

Cardio: one mile on treadmill at incline

Workout Notes: I was moving today boy. VERY little rest between sets. my endurance is way up due to my heavy cardio the past 12 weeks. Even though my strength is down, I was pushing myself. Now that I'm shifting my focus from losing as much as weight as possible to getting some mass back, I've cut my cardio in more than half. I have to decide if I should do a mile or so after each workout (that's 4-5 times a week) or would it be better to do cardio only 2-3 times a week but stay on the treadmill a little longer than I did today. Any advice? I'm good either way. I just want to get the most out of my lifting and if I'm on the treadmill for 30 minutes after each workout, my wife is going to get pissed. It was okay the past 12 weeks with the heavy cardio because my lifting sesions only lasted about 30 minutes, but now I gotta get huge (again).

The preacher machine/contraption was new for me. I usually do a typical preacher curl seat with a stand, but this machine caught my eye so I gave it a try. there are three different places to load the plates. The first position works on the upper bicep, the middle position hits the center of the bicep, and the third position focuses on the lower portion of the bicep muscle. Sounded interesting enough, so I gave it a try. I don't see many people working on this machine, so I'm not sure if it's legit. Has anyone seen this machine before? If I keep using it, any suggestions on how to attack it? 3 sets of each position at that's it for biceps? Today I did one set of each way, so it was three sets of preacher curls total but I'm not sure if that's the most beneficial approach. I'm hoping my arms can handle more sets/reps as my muscles get stronger over the next couple weeks. But I don't want to overwork my arms and then not grow as much.

I gotta go color easter eggs with the family right now, but I'll be back on here in a bit to review the super sport protein. It's yummers indeed.

No joke. I got try R3 a long time ago when I was having some pretty legit knee and shoulder pains. I'd LOVE to get my hands on some more. I strongly recommend it if anyone is having pains. Probably the best recovery supp I've ever used.

    ***Super Sport Protein Review***

It's not my first time using chocolate Super Sport Protein, so that fact right there tells you something about my true thoughts on the product. If it wasnt good, I wouldn't come back to it.

Taste: 8/10 I used it with water for my first serving this round. It holds it's flavor well. Next time I'll mix it with almond milk or skim milk to see how that tastes. I've tried it with milk before and I remember it being really great. It's creamy and flavorful. I would compare it to the taste of ON 100% whey, which seems to be a fan favorite. The reason I make that comparison is because I just sampled the ON protein a few days ago.

Mixability: 10/10 I used my new Cellucor shaker cup that came with the protein, and it mixed perfectly. All the powder disolved after about 4 seconds of shaking.

Effect: I will include an effect score after a few more servings. I want to try to forget that I know how well this stuff works, so this review is unbiased and legit. I can't get a good reading after one serving obviously.

Additional observations/feelings: 30g of protein per serving is exactly what I'm looking for. It seems that many other proteins have around 23g per serving. Some people say that 23 is a good number because if you're mixing it with milk you get quite a bit more protein, however, I usually mix my shakes with water, so I appreciate the extra few grams of protein without having to add either more protein or milk. I also like the Amino profile to help with recovery and growth. I think the best part about it is that it is clean. No added sugars (1g sugar per serving total), no trans fats, no fillers, no gluten or yeast, no preservatives, and no sodiums or hydrogenated oils. I've never looked too closely at other protein makeups, but I will from now on. If you're going to put supplements into your body to help get/stay fit and healthy, it might as well do it's job.

Hey Gerge, if you read this, feel free to use this seal of approval on your advertisements in the future. Karatekid approves!

    -Gerge

Yeah the workout felt pretty good for my first real day back to the weights. The past 12 weeks have been just a few sets to keep the blood flowing, but I'll be the first to admit, I done screwed up a bit. But the good news is I'm completely remotivated with this new stack, so I'm expecting big things.

I would like to try the vanilla. I'm very happy with the chocolate SS protein. I would like to give the vanilla a shot with some of my usual breakfast fruit and oatmeal smoothies.

Tell me Sirgerge, do you recommed taking SS protein mainly postworkout, or can/should I take it like an anytime protein? I usually get a shake for meal number one and then postworkout and then right before bed.

I think tomorrow for my Easter breakfast, I'll indulge in a chocolate, pb, banana protein smoothy. Happy Easter everyone!

And yes, Gerge, you also are at the head table of this outfit. duh... How's school going by the way? Gotta be getting close to summer break right? Finish strong!

Finish strong!
yup, Vanilla is pretty good too, I prefer chocolate though.

Usually Ill take my SS as a post workout drink with a good carb source, usually a banana for me. but I do enjoy taking it when I cant hit all my protein needs in one day. I like to get most of my protein from food, but somedays you just have nothing laying around the house but protein powder lol. typical college stuff, haha. so I do take it when I need to, any time in the day really. I also like to whip stuff up with it, kind of like sludge and shredded wheats for breakfast, or sludemeal haha, or just a straight protein cake. I get creative with it in my free time.

Sounds like a great Easter Breakfast to me happy Easter bro!

School, its going well! I cant wait till its over, there is soo much stuff going on all at once, all the professors cramming before finals and all that. but im doing well, I started off a bit shaky, but now I feel like im finishing off strong, so we will see! bout 4 more weeks and Im free!!! Thanks for asking bro!

I'll never be too old for a bucket of Easter candy. I'll hate myself on Monday, but for now, it's all good.
