Pacers setting up to be destroyed by Heat round 2
OKC vs. Lakers will be awesome
Spurs vs. ____ will be boring
Remember when after last season, Dirk was being named best player in the NBA? Is he in anyone's top 10? 15? 20???
Remind me why I want to go to Dallas if I am Deron Williams.

I'm glad they're booing Pujols in LA.
I know the dude isn't an arrogant prick like a lot of pro athletes seem to be, but they're paying him a completely ridiculous amount of money... and he has a whopping 5 RBI (correct me if I'm wrong) through the season. He needs to get it going.
Really didn't have an opinion on the Mayweather/Cotto fight. I'm not too upset Mayweather won, because I would LOVE to see boxing re-gain prominence in the world of sports and I think he can be the guy to do it as long as he can keep himself out of trouble.
Now, he and Pacquiao need to fight already.
Oh, and OKC for NBA Champions.
I never want to see Queen James win a title. Ever. Ever. Ever.

Not sure if you noticed the commonality
James leaves hometown which would do anything for him
Pujols leaves adopted American hometown which LOVED him
James killed for ego-ism (the decision)
Pujols for money grabbing
Unfortunately I think Lebron could win a title this year.
I pray that he isnt matched up vs. Lakers because I hate Kobe too (go OKC!)
Pujols can't stay THIS bad. But I am sure LAA is having indigestion over thinking about paying him 30million in 2021!Founder of MMDELAD

No no, I did.
I almost always resent the ridiculously-highly paid athlete, no matter their production.
When Lebron did what he did... it instantly made me lose all respect for him. It doesn't take away from his physical dominance on the basketball court, but, I'd never want him to play for my team (Detroit Pistons) no matter how good he was.
Of course, there are a few exceptions. I have to be biased but I am completely okay with Calvin Johnson getting paid all that money. The main reason being: he's not a talker or an attention whore. He doesn't make a big show out of his life a la Chad Johnson, Terrell Owens, etc etc. He just shows up, catches touchdowns, and goes home to his family... only to come back and do it all over again the following Sunday. In that regard, he is similar to Barry Sanders who is by far my favorite athlete of all time.Upgraded from "curls for the girls" to "rows for the hoes".

Harper is my new favorite player in baseball- steals home, turns a bloop single into a double, has a canon for an arm
Sox lose marathon game and both teams use position players at pitcher = fantastic
Glad to see the Heat lose whenever
C's dominate
Bulls continue to mail it in w/o Rose
Lakers pull it out but will need to play better to beat OKC
Kobe score 22 on 25 shots while Bynum puts up 19 on less than halfas many shots --> GO INSIDEFounder of MMDELAD

Agree to a certain extent.
If you watch though the last play again from yesterday's game, at least from Lebron's mannerisms, it seems he was a bit upset in not getting the ball. It's a start in the right direction.
He definitely though needs to come through in the clutch.....at championship time. Those are the defning moments.BRAINS & GAINS

Im with ya! I know what you are saying. He's only 27 and through growth/maturity/experience...I think he will get better.
Ball needs to be in his hands though at the end of a game...regardless of past experience...no question. He is the most gifted athlete in all of sports - IMHO. More experience then more chance to develop and gain confidence.
I still dont want him to get a ring though...lol. I lost most my respect for him after he jumped ship from Cleveland and the way it was handled. Easy way out.BRAINS & GAINS

Stage 3 of the Giro d'Italia was a wild one. For the first time in a while we have an American leading the race, Taylor Phinney. Today was disaster!
Some Italian sprinter crossed lines in the sprint and took out current World Champion Mark Cavendish as well as Taylor. His ankle seems to be pretty damaged. He retained the jersey for the day...but we will see what happens at the Team Time Trial on Wednesday. Thoughts?

SPurs- Jazz- Not surprising, again 5 players on Spurs bench play 18.5+ minutes (depth, rest)
Clips vs Grizz- Suprised at this one tbh. Each game has been so even (last second shots and an OT). Rooting for the Clips because a SPurs vs Grizz sereis would be boring (each team just isn't that intriguing and their styles are kind of ho-hum)
BIg East commish resigns under pressure
I have always been a fan of the conference growing up in New England. But they can't compete in football and I think their death is near after losing Pitt, cuse, Uconn (please the Big "EAST" is now adding San Diego State to try and stay relevant). Optimally, I would want to see all the football schools go to the ACC and have Duke and UNC go to the Big East (they can't compete in the ACC in football) and we would end up with a basketball super-conference and a football superconference. Won't ever happen but it would be better than what we have now.Founder of MMDELAD

I think it's a stretch to say they can't compete. Duke won an acc title when spurrier was there (granted before fsu joined) am unc was a top 5 team under Mack Brown. Did anyone expect wake to go to the bcs a few years back? Also you have to understand the acc has other traditional rivalries. Baseball, soccer, lacrosse, etc
