I've researched the **** out of WP the last couple of days and I ****ing want one, but will wait till WP8.

It would kinda be a waste to buy a Lumia 900 right now as much as I want one.

Hoping for a new Lumia (or lookalike) WP8, with 1080p recording, better camera and better hardware.

It has the same curved screen but bigger screen size (cannot confirm if it will be bigger than the Lumia 900s 4.3inch or the same) hence it will be thicker and far heavier than the Lumia 800. [Edit: We've heard it is closer to ~4.65 inches --Daniel]
It has the same form factor, that is, polycarbonate unibody with irreplaceable battery (just like the Lumia800)
No physical buttons on the front
4 physical buttons on the right side: up/down vol keys, power button and camera
It will run on a Qualcomm Dual Core CPU (First Nokia Dual Core WP8 phone)
It will have external SD card slot
NFC chip on board.
LTE enabled

This one is particularly interesting to me... I've found out that the company I work at is developing a WP8 app, and have reason to believe that we have a prototype WP8 device somewhere. I NEED to figure out who is in charge of developing this internally.

Verizon rumor from a Verizon employee on another forum. He is just a retail employee, but he has talked to another employee who has played with the HTC WP8 device.

Here's a little rumor update going from both internal and external sources:
-HTC "midrange" phone. Im guessing 720p 4-4.3" screen, 1.2Ghz S4, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal.
-Nokia high end phone. Probably 768p 4.3" + screen. VZW is going all in on "phablets" this fall so i expect the Nokia will be 4.5" at least.1.5GHz S4, 16 and 32GB offerings.
-Low end Samsung as a prepaid offering. Trophy specs with Sammy plastic. WVGA, 1.2 S4, 4GB internal, 512Mb of RAM
-Midrange Samsung. Galaxy Nexus clone.
-Veizon will be a launch partnerand will appear September 5th
-Marketing campaign on par with the OG Droid

I figured out what has been making my phone sick. I thought it was the headphone jack, or maybe using too many functions at once while at the gym. But is is.................................

Sometimes when I am lifting and don't want to risk smashing my phone, I stick in my rear waste band of my shorts. It gets wet, but I just clean it off. My phone would get sick for days after. the capacitive keys would not respond, then the bing search would pop up continuously. The back button would not respond. Since I stopped doing this...the phone has been flawless.

Announcement in the September 5th Nokia MS event and release already in October. He praises the AMOLED screen on Nokia Phi, more than likely 720 screen with Nokia's Clear Black tech. All of the features inside Phi you can get into WP8 at the moment.

Hoping this ends up on Verizon, but with the note about "release already in October" I assume this will be AT&T because I heard the Verizon/Nokia device is coming in November.

Anyone else excited to see what Nokia is going to unveil on Sept. 5th? I think this holiday season there will be a bunch of sick WP8 phones not just from Nokia, but from Samsung, and HTC too. I'll probably end up buying one outright because my contract isn't up.

I am stoked. A lot of info is continuing to leak out. In the last day or two, people found the Bluetooth certification of an HTC device headed to Verizon.

A supposed insider has this to say about Nokia WP8 devices:

VZN phone: Oct 25
Att: Oct 29 and Nov 2
Tmob: Nov 9

I'm a bit skeptical because I have my own source who told me second week of November for Verizon, and this source is as inside as you get; however, I was told this a few weeks ago, and you have no idea how frequently launch dates change.
