Post your grillings here. Its warming up nicely in most areas and the grills are firing up.. Lets see whats for dinner.

First grill out of the year...

    I love grilling vegetables!

Now something is wrong with my grill so I need to get it checked out ASAP.

Heres a few more from last year to get this thread rolling!

Yes. Ive also used vegetable grilling trays to grill it and it turns out awesome. Just use some italian seasoning, garlic powder, and a little EVOO.

I've had really good luck with the Grill Mates (seasoning & rubs).

They are usually pretty good. I usually do my own combination now. Nothing specific just start grabbin spices and going at it. Never had a bad concoction. I always try to add cajun/creole seasoning though.

One of the Texas companies makes a "Chicken Rub" that I tend to put on just about everything, it's just plain perfect. If I don't do that I'll often do a light marinade in either Allegro or Moore's. I don't do anything with a good steak though, just let the smoke from the grill flavor that for me and enjoy the flavor of the steak without masking it with anything else.

I have always been the type to either spice up or use BBQ sauce on everything. Dont care what cut of meat or how "choice" it is I love a sauce. I know this is taboo as hell but I even use ketchup quite often. lol

When it comes to liquid marinades, I usually add my own little bits and pieces to them. Never satisfied with an "as is" mix.

My dad grilled/grills a lot and my step-father(RIP) use to grill almost every day especially in the warmer months. Him and my mom use to ravage the manager special meat counters lol

I can't remember the last time I sauced anything. I will use ketchup on reheated chicken breasts after they've been in the fridge though. If you haven't tried Allegro or Moore's see if they have it in your area and give it a shot, they're both very similar. Just be really careful as they work fast and will overpower the meat if left in too long, 30 minutes tops on anything but mediocre steak (good steak doesn't get marinated) maybe 15 - 20 minutes. It doesn't sauce up the meat, the flavor penetrates the meat itself and alters the flavor. Good stuff.

I like to leave some of the husk on the corn and place it directly on the grill. Comes out pretty good with a nice char.

Pics of grill to come....no pics of food tonight.

Yeah I was telling my wife that but I like to soak it so the husk dont char or burn so bad. I prefer the use of foil though. Just turns out better for my taste. I like to add salt, pepper, and butter and let that cook all together. If some of the kernels crisp up a little its even better!

Not bad Jeff, I like it! Am I seeing that right as a 5 burner?

Mine is a charbroil and nothing special either, but it gets the job done. I think ive only used my side burner once.

Grilled kern is fantastic. I put it on with full husk and squirt it with fresh sliced limes before eating.
