    It's that time again .......

Getting ready to get my post workout protein!

On the way home from the gym, my son & I stopped at the nearest Publix grocery store. All the nurses, paralegals and gym bunnies were there in droves. It was all I could do not to stare too long, lest son aware his mom, my future ex-wife of said activities. No kidding, there were 4 that were jaw-dropping hot and many more that were fine.

Picked up some wings, corn and suds.

Wings coated with olive oil and dat Jamaican rub I like. Gonna smoke 'em good. Wife & son will most likely dowse with Sticky Fingers BBQ sauce.

    Pics forthcoming when done.

Yup. Good stuff. Try brushing on some olive oil first & then putting on that rub. Great flavor.

Mixes great into burger as well...

My Sunday was filled with food preparation and a full grill..

Pork kabobs with the fixins... Only thing I didnt have was onions.

Country Style Ribs, Chicken legs, corn on the kabob, and I experimented with some grilled apple and pear. Wasnt bad. Reminded me of semi dried fruit.

BTW, DUBS... That grilln of yours is lookn good...

    Thanks. Great thread you've started.

Grillin is really relaxing to me. Perfect way to start or end a day filled with hard work and effort.

Psychowolverine.....those kabobs look great. Good planning skills demonstrated there to bring it all together in a simultaneous finish.

I tend to burn the sheet outa some stuff while undercooking others.

Grilling tonight to make enough to feed the tribe the next two days while I'm working.....no grilling till Friday.

Top-salmon fillets wrapped around crabmeat & tied with string for grillin purposes. Brats & corn on the bottom with some extra crabmeat in the aluminum foil.

Lemon juice dowsed on it after grillin to finish it.

Salmon was great with some wasabi sauce.

Looks over grilled, but spray some butter on it and the flavor is great.

Brats are always a favorite around this house.

I've had some great results combatting flare-ups by using a cheap pizza stone I bought from either Home Depot or Lowe's.

It's brittle as hell so careful handling is required. I placed it on a rack directly over the coals so the heat is indirect. I flip it every time I cook so the grease and crud gets burned off. It works on gas grills, too.

Rub well with extra virgin olive oil & then season with your favorite spices.

Grill temp around tree-fiddy, pop the top on. Cold adult beverage & 15 mins later you are eating.

Anyone have an interesting default marinade for steaks?

I've tried most of the rubs from The Dizzy Pig BBQ Company and yet to find one that wasn't top notch. The rub on thoses wings was their Jamaican Firewalk.

Their Dizzy Dust rocks on ribs & butts.
