Im 5'10 and 225lbs. I don't really like cardio but love lifting weights. I just started in the gym about a month and a half ago and already noticed my pants getting bigger around my waist. I just want to lift and diet. Will this work?

read nutrition forum, learn to calculate your base metabolic rate, calculate your calories each day, eat less to lose weight at slow and steady rate, weigh yourself once a week or two and adjust caloric intake accordingly, lift weights like crazy and experience some noob gains for a while and retain max muscle mass.

Hey, Im 5'11", weigh 270 and have been doing the Lee Labrada 12 week lean body trainer for 3 1/2 weeks. I bought a set of body fat calipers and it reads me at 31% BF. I I have not seen any results from doing this. I was a pretty heavy drinker but completely quit. Any advice for a guy that cannot afford a personal trainer?

I don't understand why you wouldn't want to do the cardio simply for the health and cardiovascular benefits. Just walk 30 min a day. You would be surprised at how much better you feel. You can lose without cardio but then you are a slave to your diet. I hate doing things that way. I would much rather run hard and eat what I want and still get results.

quick answer is.
Of course its "possible".
Simple;
- work out your maintenance. (Google, How to workout calorie maintenance)
- Eat a few hundred calories UNDER that, each day. (Clean food if you can)
- Drink more water
- If a pound of fat = 3500 cals, and your weeks total defecit is = to, or greater than that, you will lose that many pounds of fat.
DONT STARVE YOURSELF, It's a slow and painful process, I hate cutting. Just reduce it by 200 cals, then 300, maximum, around 500. You'll get there.
