i just dont see this trade working. He doesnt need SP (or really RP) enough to justify losing Konerko, and you have no long term use for more corner infielders. Im in a similar way in one of my leagues, I have Texiera, Michael Young, Matt Adams, Mike Moustakas, Michael Cuddyer (in the OF), Ryan Howard on my DL and Rizzo waiting for the callup

dude. stop.. you don't draft Dunn for his average. and if you think a mediocre Moore (he's young - lets give him time) and his medicore 12 wins, 3.75 ERA, and 1.35 WHIP who throws every 5th day with a potential for an innings cap is of equal value of 40 HRs and 120 RBIs from a hitter player every day - you are sadly mistaken.. hell, Moore is only owned in 85% of ESPN leagues. Give me Dunn all day errrrrday.

1) What does that mean, he pitches every 5th day? As if that somehow diminishes his value. In standard leagues there's ERA, WHIP, K'S, AND W'S. That's 4 categories coming from mainly STARTING pitchers. They are just as valuable than any position player.
2) Dunn ain't hitting 120 rbi's. That was hyperbole on my part he's never hit above 106 rbi's in his career, and i doubt he's going for a career year here when he barely hit 160 last year
3) There will be no innings cap on Moore when he's hurling at the end of the year and the Rays are in playoffs contention like they ALWAYS ARE. Moore is known for his slow starts. The guy mowed down the top offense in the league during the playoffs last year TWICE.
He's owned in only 85% of espn leagues? What does that even mean? That 15% of people that play in those leagues are dumb as **** and baseball illiterate?
Moore will be a stud come years end.
4) go **** yourself

If this isn't obvious to you, you're doing it wrong.
Let's look at some rankings:
http://www.baseballdocs.com/overall_rankings.html
http://sports.espn.go.com/fantasy/ba...ay2012ranks250
http://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/mlb/...season1-top100
http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fan...ankings/top300
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...ngs/index.html
Do you see a pitcher ranked in 1st in any of those? No. Outside of cbs rankings, you'll struggle to find more than 1 pitcher within the top 10 or 15. Why is this? Why do the hitters outnumber pitchers within the top 50, the top 100, the top 200, the top 300?
If you still can't see this, open your leagues player rater. Who is in the top 10? My guess is its all hitters, with Gonzalez and Verlander and Hamels being among the top ranked pitchers.Last edited by The_Albatross; 05-31-2012 at 07:12 AM.

If I am an Omar Infante owner, I would be holding on to him. His plate discipline has improved and he isn't chasing as many pitches. Selling high won't get you much IMO because he won't bring much of a return but I think he can maintain this pace. His BABIP is a little high but it's not unsustainable.

Tommy Hanson
Matt Moore
Yovani Gallardo
Ervin Santana
Matt Garza
Madison Bumgarner
Edinson Volquez
with RPs Street, Chris Perez, Santos, Fuentes.
I picked up half my starters from the FA pool, just picked up Garza last week I think he will improve and not be a ton worse than Beachy. People in this league cut the cord on SPs after 1 bad start. I don't think my staff is great but I think with my batting it is good enough. I am in first and my hitters include:
Napoli at C, Joey Votto at 1B, Robinson Cano 2B, Miggy Cabrera 3B, my main liability is Gordon at SS. OF now has McCutchen, Nelson Cruz, (Crisp/Maybin OF3). UTIL is Mark Teixeria, and last spot is now Goldschmidt who has 5 HR past 2 weeks or so picked him up off wire. 12 team league.3K+
