So another question for my fellow fantasy baseball enthusiasts...I currently have Alexei Ramirez at SS and he's been terrible. Meanwhile, Alcides Escobar is a free agent and playing very well. Thoughts misc? Will Escobar continue to play well and hit near .300? Will Ramirez play well enough to make up for his terrible start?

I'd go with Escobar, hitting .350 past 2 weeks. I picked him up in both my leagues where I have Dee Gordon and I'm starting him over Dee until Dee heats up.

I posted proof and actual stats on how he's been extremely unlucky this year and is due for a rebound and all you have to say is he sucks. Not even worth my time trying to debate it.

He only had one good year in his 7 years ml career. Injury prone and career .250 hitter. Picked him up as my backup thou. Will try to trade him soon when he gets hot.

To be fair, that one good year was the only year he was actually healthy for the whole season and he was on pace to match those numbers last year until he got hurt. Most of the people whining about him are current or past owners who are just butthurt that they've got burned by him before.

I wasn't that high on him before the season, I passed on him for Ackley in the draft, but if I can pick him up for free and hold him until he heats up, why not.

Absolutely not, just in the last 3 pages about 3 people (including me) were talking about Weeks and how he never reached his potential that he was suppose to reach, I do agree with Mr. Angels tho on the fact that he had tons of Injury in his career.
But other then the Butthurt talk etc, its just I guess the fantasy is part of Misc or so..

Yeah I watched the start, he looked sharp with control, his stuff is still 1-2 mph lower than pre-surgery but if his control is back to that preciseness of pre-injury form he may dominate again. He sat at 91-92 with the fastball touched 93 a couple times, the curve was great and control was great. Still it was the Padres, so hopefully he can do it against Philly this weekend.

Well I can see him actually doing good over there, hes probably gonna give up some runs testing A.L. for the 1st time and all , but then again with an offense like Texas you can finish the year with 15 wins and still have a miserable E.R.A. close to 5.

the thing is, idk who to drop to add him.. I have Jordan Schafer on bench,but if Jordan is playing Hosmer is benched ( seems like he will never pick up )...I have Jon Jay and Cespedes on DL.

or should I just leave Morneau FA.?
I dont have a real reason to add Morneau other then Hosmer looks horribleee, but id rather have him then someone else I guess

Speaking of Morneau, I was offered David Freese for him. Freese is in a huge slump and actually sat out the last few games because it was that bad. Morneau has been mashing but I don't see him staying healthy. I am thinking of a counter offer including Kenley Jansen. A few guys in my league have told me he is shopping Freese around really hard and I think I could get more out of him. He is also bound to turn it around IMO.

I'd wait for Hosmer personally, too much talent to not finally turn it up at some point.

Interestingly enough yahoo has a article with Dee Gordon on the lames portion then forecasts like .275 average and 41 SBs the rest of the year, I would welcome that at SS in all my leagues lol

If you're desperate for saves, maybe...but that ERA/WHIP is a bit scary. I would look for a safer option.

true I play in a 20 teamer, 14 teamer and 12 teamer. I guess it just depends, I grabbed in a 20 teamer not in the 14. But I took him in the 12 teamer because I was desperate for saves.

dont drop moustakas....Id probably drop Morneau or Viciendo if it came down to it

Drop Craig, his stats scream regression with a BABIP near .400. Morneau's too hot right now to drop. I know Viciendo and Reddick won't keep up their current pace so maybe consider dropping one of those as well.

Morneau cant stay healthy, and his production is very spiky when he is healthy
